Meanwhile, Nameless and Arnin clashed swords with the female attacker midair—but with a single wave of her hand, she sent them flying backwards. They flipped midair and landed in crouches, their boots dragging along the dirt in a brief slide.
She floated down slowly, her bare feet touching the ground without a sound. Long black hair billowed behind her, untamed by the night breeze. She wore no cloak despite the chill, her silk sleeves fluttering like wings.
Adjusting her cuffs, she fixed her eyes on Nameless.
