Cong Ge called to a few maids to take small baskets and pat down the blossoms about to fall from the osmanthus trees.
A group of girls dressed in emerald moved among the clusters of orange and light yellow osmanthus, a sight that was beautiful in itself.
"Lu Yin, your basket is full, go on and take it back," Cong Ge said softly.
But Lu Yin seemed not to have heard her at all, continuously patting the flowers on the tree, again and again.
Having no choice, Cong Ge stepped forward, patted her shoulder, and called out again, "Lu Yin?"
"Sister Cong Ge," Lu Yin turned around, her eyes devoid of light.
Cong Ge slightly frowned upon seeing this, as the eldest young lady and the sixth young lady were standing nearby. Although they didn't like to scold the servants harshly, it still wasn't good for them to witness such a scene.
"Did you not rest well yesterday? Why do you look like this?" Cong Ge extended the back of her hand, naturally placing it on Lu Yin's forehead.
