"Boy, you're good, but I'm ending this here," Hugo said, raising both hands into the air.
A flicker of flame sparked to life in his palm, small at first, barely the size of a baseball. Then, with a single breath, the fire swelled, growing into a blazing inferno that radiated heat and fury. Within seconds, it had transformed into a blazing sphere, bright enough to illuminate the eternal darkness of the Zero Zone.
It was like a miniature sun had been born in a place where light had long been forgotten.
"I'm not the smartest guy around," Hugo said with a wild grin, the fire reflecting in his eyes. "But even a reckless idiot like me knows, brute force solves most problems"
He narrowed his eyes.
"No, your little friend didn't die. That would've been inconvenient"
