Chapter 32 - A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT

The radio was off. The Range Rover windows were tinted. Streetlights illuminated through the windshield, forming a dim light inside.

As her ex boyfriend, Marlon knew exactly the right words to whisper to Naida Browne to bring her to her knees just in case he needed to get down in her pants.

A year plus had gone by ever since the two went their separate ways.

Naida Browne looked thirsty for Marlon's next move after a few captivating words he said to trigger her emotions. Without thinking Nadia leaned in, capturing his lips in a kiss that was both hungry and helplessly sweet.

She was tipsy, remember.

More urgently, their bodies pressed together at that moment, out of eachother's waistline under cloths were grabbed, pulled down and dropped and nothing else mattered but the feeling of eachother's skin in a brief intimacy.

Naida Browne cheated on her husband Bob Lee with her ex boyfriend Marlon.

Back inside the VIP club, Bob Lee and crew clinked shooter glasses loudly and poured more tequila down their throats. Having fun, as they busted into uncontrollable laughter over jokes, Nadia Browne showed up, from committing a sin.

Approaching the crew, on her stunning face switched a pretty smile which carried an impurity of shyness, singing to the song that played loud, trying hard to hide the adultery sin she was from committing.

Singing drew amused glances as the all crew attempted to join in and sing the chorus together.

In the midst of singing, Nadia Browne picked two ounces of tequila to bring her vibe higher like before. Immediately after pouring them in the mouth, she wrapped her hands around her husband, who was also cheered loudly by the crew.

Swinging slowly and rhythmically back and forth to the groove, both Nadia and Bob Lee laughed.

As big spenders, of course everyone loved their goofy, the crew cheered and their corner echoed with high spirit screams and shouts.

Slowly their lips met, pecking vulnerably at first, "I love you and I will always love you." Bob Lee spoke, the vulnerability in his voice sending a charge through his wife _ but not aware that she was from betraying his trust, opening the gates of what she swore was to be his heaven alone to play, allowing another man to enter and enjoy however he pleased.

Hearts are hidden. And only the universe can see through. As the couple continued to slow dance, Nadia leaned on Bob Lee's chest. She then lifted her face and looked him in the eyes, guiltily though.

"Can we go home?" Bob Lee asked, sexually excited, "I need you in private..."

And as her husband, Nadia Browne put his needs and requests upfront.

From the club to their posh automobile which swiftly ran on a clear highway, in a rush to get to their matrimonial home and bless the night more with sexual healing.

As Bob Lee rounded the bend, suddenly a blinding flash of headlights appeared infront of them too quick to react. His and her eyes wide in fear, time seemed to slow down as he fought to regain control, but the posh slid out of the lane and crashed into the roadside barrier that late night.

The impact flipped the car onto its side amid shattering glass and twisting metal.

In the midst of roasting bush meat that night, the same impact echoed so loud that Ishtar and Mr. Beard heard it. "Did you hear that?" Distant in the woods where they lived Ishtar's attention got caught up and she posed a bit.

"Could be another terrible car accident on the highway," replied Mr. Beard, seeming used to such incidents.

"Car accident?" Ishtar wondered.

"Almost a mile away from here is a highway sharp bend. I call it a slaughter ground for the drunken drivers," he added, "those fools who can't abide by the rules!"

It was now clear that in the same southwest region where Bob Lee and Nadia bought their matrimonial home, was the biggest woods on a very large scale through which a rough river in which Ishtar was disposed by Pixie's mom and dad flowed. Same, in these woods Ishtar sheltered.

Minutes later, a rescue team of dedicated men worked hand in hand, cutting the metal until bringing Bob Lee and Nadia Browne outside the messed up posh car.

Luckily, the airbag had Bob Lee under safe guard and well protected, that he managed to come around with just a few physical injuries.

However, Nadia Browne was on the verge of loosing her life to the terrible accident. Soon, a loud alarm of an ambulance on the highway filled the air, rushing her to the emergency hospital.

As soon as the ambulance arrived at the sky scrapper private hospital, an overhead alarm signaled the need for immediate assistance and the hospital rapid response team swiftly responded to the emergency.

The surgeon requested an emergency cross-match, and the blood bank team was already preparing units for transfusion.

Two weeks down the road, after a successful theater operation, Nadia woke up from coma.

"Welcome back," a female doctor was glad to find her awake when she entered the room in which she laid.

Quickly when she checked the readings on the life monitoring computer, Nadia seem to have recovered well, her muscles too weak though.

However, on checking her sight, "I have some joyful news for you," the doctor told her, "or maybe I can reveal it in the presence of your husband, if you wish so! The young man has unwavering love that made everyone jeolous of you."

"Thank you!" Nadia Browne appreciated the compliment.

"Sure..."

"I would really wish to share the joy with him of course!" Nadia Browne did not hesitate to submit to the doctor's friendly opinion.

She had to wait for her husband to receive the joyful news together as one.

Later on, with a bouquet of white and red roses, Sonia arrived at the hospital to pay a visit to her best friend. Surprisingly, when she entered the room, Nadia Browne was already back from coma.

"You're finally awake!" Sonia's eyes widely opened in surprise, she went quickly to share a warm hug, "thank heavens," praising while in Nadia's chest.

"So tell me, how was it in the other world for the two weeks you left us?" Sonia initiated a conversation immediately she leaned out of her best friend's chest.

"No, you tell me! How was it in my absentia in this world of the living," Nadia Browne kept a happy smile on her cheeks.

"Nothing, only worries if I might say; asking myself _ when was I gonna have me and my bestie talking to eachother's again. I'd rather have us arguing for a full day than missing you for a minute," Sonia truly loved her best friend.

In a rush, Bob Lee couldn't wait to meet his beloved when he received the news, "you're awake!" He bumped into the room direct into his wife's chest, "thanks to the heavens," he gladly whispered.

Five of Bob Lee's friends had accompanied him with gifts to show their support as he welcomed back his beautiful wife from a life taking fight.

A variety of flower bouquets surrounded her sick bed, a healthy sign that she was always wished farewell and quick recovery.

In her loose pure white outer garment, the female doctor walked in the room amid joyful conversations.

"Oh, the doctor has something to tell both of us," Nadia remembered.

"Just us?" Bob Lee excitedly asked.

"You heard her. She said only the both of you _ and for that matter, we immediately excuse ourselves to wait outside," friends including Sonia happily saw their way out of the room.

Bob Lee and Nadia Browne sat attentively, glad with all eyes on the doctor, ready to hear the good news she had for them.
