"For sure, I still can't give up..."
Behind the school building, Alexia sat on the floor and looked at the sword in her hand, showing a powerless smile.
She stared at the artificial lake in front of her.
She had tried to throw the sword away several times but failed each time.
It was the sword that always made her feel inferior. Obviously, she could free herself from this suffering by simply giving up, but no matter what happens, she just can't.
"I don't know what else to do..."
Alexia sighed.
She had long understood that she had no talent, and no matter how much she tried, she couldn't compare herself to geniuses.
As Leon had said, as long as she gave up on the sword path, she had numerous choices with her princess status and could develop in other directions.
But for some reason, she just didn't want to give up.
Right now.
"Is it really good for a princess to skip class?"
A familiar voice came from in front of her.
"You—how did you find this place?!"
"Maybe I'm just very good at hide and seek."
When she looked up, she saw Leon standing in front of her. Alexia was startled and subconsciously took a few steps back.
The young man in front of her, who could easily see the true feelings of others, was a natural enemy for Alexia, who was used to disguising her own emotions.
"Don't throw your sword away. If you do, you'll regret it for the rest of your life."
Leon pointed to the sword in her arms and said.
"Hmph, I won't regret it."
"You're planning to throw it away, right? Okay, I'll do it for you."
"Wait, what are you going to do?!"
Alexia was shocked.
Leon ripped the sword from her arms, showed a cruel smile, and threw the sword into the lake in front of her.
"NO!!!"
SPLASH!
Seeing her sword sinking into the lake, Alexia felt that something important had been lost.
It was as if a piece of her heart had been torn away.
She acted instinctively: she pushed the boy in front of her and then jumped straight into the lake.
"My sword!"
.........
"Damn, it's not here!"
"Why can't I find it?"
Leon looked at Alexia, who was frantically searching for the sword in the lake, with an indifferent expression on his face.
He just watched the princess exhaust herself, then got up, grabbed Alexia, pulled her out of the lake, and threw her onto the bank.
The silver-haired princess was completely soaked and utterly distraught.
She stared at her empty hands.
Tears uncontrollably dripped from her eyes.
At this moment, Alexia's disguise was completely gone. Right now, she was just a sad and desperate little girl who had lost something important.
"Why... why did you do that, Leon?!"
"Because only when you lose something do you realize how important it is to you. I'm just helping you understand your true feelings."
"You bastard! Give me back my sword!"
"Okay~"
Before Alexia could react, she saw her sword appear in Leon's hands. Her eyes widened, and she subconsciously grabbed the sword with both hands and held it tightly against her chest.
In fact, Leon had used space magic and stored the sword as he threw it. What sank into the lake at that moment was just some garbage he normally kept in his storage space.
Alexia, who had been devastated, was now revived. As Leon said, you can only know how important something is to you once you've lost it.
She understood that clearly now.
A path she had been following since childhood.
Even if people ridiculed her.
No matter how much she tried and failed.
She had no reason to give up the sword.
"Have you calmed down?"
"... I will never forgive you."
"It looks like you've finally stopped pretending."
Leon brushed aside her wet black hair. Alexia looked at that beautiful face and wanted to climb up and hit him.
She finally understood that Leon was also a bad person.
He was on the same level as her, or perhaps even worse!
But thanks to Leon, she had recognized herself.
"... I forgot that the reason I first picked up a sword wasn't to defeat anyone, nor to gain honor, nor to be praised by others, but... I just like swords."
"Well, there's no better reason than that. It's innocent and pure. It's a pity you forgot."
"... Yes, it's pretty stupid now that I think about it."
Alexia smiled bitterly.
She had been confused by the comments of those around her. This sword belonged to no one else, and there was no need to care about the words of others.
There was no need to compare herself to her sister.
She just wanted to wield the sword she loved.
"Well, now your expression is very beautiful."
Leon lifted the corners of his lips.
He was strangely nosy today. In fact, what happened to Alexia had nothing to do with him, and the reason he did these things was very simple.
Because he really liked the fencing of this princess.
Leon could clearly feel that while Alexia's skills were terrible, her foundation was incredibly good. This was the foundation that a person without talent had struggled countless times to build.
Because he knew how it felt.
It would be a pity if she broke now. As long as this sword continued to be sharpened, one day she would overcome a genius!
"Now that you've figured it out, let's go back. We both skipped class; the teacher must be panicking."
"That's right... wait just a moment."
"Hmm? Is there something else?"
Leon turned his head and saw Alexia showing a hesitant expression. She was silent for a while before speaking, as if she had finally made up her mind.
"Leon, I want to learn your fencing. Can you teach me?"
"Why are you asking me something like that so suddenly?"
"The proposal I made to you yesterday... ahem... that confession was true. I like your fencing; it's what I ideally want to achieve."
Alexia looked straight at Leon and said.
Thinking about it, perhaps Leon's proposal at that time also had this reason, because this man wielded his sword with desire.
"No matter what it costs, I'm willing to pay. And if it's for free... I-I can date you. How about that?"
When she said that, Alexia blushed down to the roots of her ears, and Leon was also very shocked. After being stunned for a few seconds, he couldn't help but laugh.
"Pfft! Hahahaha~"
"What's so funny?!"
"Hahaha, no, it's nothing, I just find it very interesting. If you want to learn from me, you can, but I don't need money or connections."
Leon narrowed his eyes and showed an intrigued smile. So far, he had trained many genius girls, such as Alpha, Gamma, Ningguang, Zeta, Eta, and so on.
But this time, it seemed he could change his taste.
It was just a whim.
He wanted to try turning a girl without talent into someone beyond a genius.
"But you need to be aware: if an ordinary person wants to overcome a genius, hard work alone won't be enough."
"No problem, I'm ready for anything! As long as I can learn from you!"
"Excellent. Then we'll start special training tomorrow."
Leon reached out to Alexia, and the silver-haired princess grabbed his hand without hesitation and squeezed it tightly.
"By the way, don't say things like 'I can do anything' or 'I'm ready for anything.' If it were another man, he could ask for indecent things." Leon said and immediately received a slap on the shoulder from Alexia.
"Hahahahaha!"
In fact, the two caused a great commotion when they returned.
The princess and the prince, who skipped class together, came back completely soaked. There was so much room for imagination that five or six versions of the story were circulating before classes ended.
(End of Chapter)
Give me some power stones there you go~😉
The reason I didn't update yesterday is quite simple.
I needed to travel to another city for a relative's birthday, and with my infinite wisdom, I forgot to transfer the files to my cell phone, much less to Google Drive.
It was only after I got there and opened the phone to do the updates that I noticed this problem.
A small observation is that none of them were complete yet, especially MLS and MMS, I intended to finish there but because of my fit of stupidity I couldn't do anything.
Anyway, when I got home it was already past 2 in the morning, so I just lay down and slept like a log.
