Fei stood by the back of a delivery truck, adjusting the ribbon on one of the crates. The children, dressed in matching light jackets with reflective patches, buzzed around her like fireflies, excited and full of energy.
Huo Ting Cheng, for once, wasn't in a suit. He wore a simple dark windbreaker, sleeves rolled up, helping the guards unload boxes of fruit, jam jars, and wrapped pastries. No press, no photographers — just them.
Their first stop: the orphanage.
The moment they stepped into the courtyard, a group of children rushed forward, eyes wide with curiosity. The caretaker came out quickly, clearly startled at the sight of the high-profile family, but Tang Fei greeted her with a warm smile.
"These are for the kids," she said gently, motioning to the crates. "Fresh peaches, homemade jam, and some pastries."
