Chapter 23 - DW: The Mechanic Chapter 20

After the dog is finally left this world, we collect the body, knowing it's best not to leave it where some random human will find it. I do not want to find out what a Victorian will do if they figure out that it's the reason why the victims all acted strangely.

Once the body is collected, we make our way back to the carriage, entering without a word. Once we arrive back at Vastra's home, Vastra hands me the dog, and I take it, knowing it's a risk to leave it in this time period before saying my goodbyes and heading to my TARDIS.

In my TADIS, I begin the dematerialisation, instead of changing the time those I set it to fly as close to the sun as possible. While I wait, I've got to check on the components that I had in the process of making before Jenny knocked on my TARDIS door.

making my way to the TARDIS Architectural reconfiguration system, to check I think about my next move. I have no guarantee that I will end up where I want, but seeing the beacon that Vastra had gave me an idea on how I can guarantee I appear when I am needed, well, until my TARDIS is old enough to navigate without the risk of ending up anywhere.

It does not take me long to arrive, and what greets me are a large number of components that I had set for production. Seeing the components, I decide to use my Vault cube to move it all to the workshop since it would take forever otherwise, and I want to get to building my new Robo bear.

After putting the last component in to the vault cube, my TARDIS informs me we have arrived as close as she can to the sun, making my way back to the control room where I had left the dogs body ready to dispose of it, in a way that will ensure no one can do what they did in the Jurassic park movies, am I being paranoid, maybe, is it justified definitely, no way in hell I trust humans, hell they even invited cybermen from a parallel universe thinking they were ghosts from the afterlife.

For a race that proclaims intelligence, they sometime do very stupid shit, especially in this universe, as for my original one well that's another whole can of worms. I know I was human in my last life, but having the perspective of a non-human, I can see just how stupid humanity can be.

Once I arrive, I make my way towards the dog's body before heading straight to the door, opening it, I throw the dog's body towards the sun with all my strength. Thanks to the fact in space there's no resistance the body heads towards the sun, if I was human than this would take forever but thanks to a Time lord better physical capabilities its going to a decent speed still going to take a few days, but I can use this time to build Robo bear while having Ada inform me of when the body hits the sun.

Closing the door, I head towards my workshop to start making my new companion. it does not take me long to arrive, and since I am in the workshop, I take my Vault cube out, activating it and taking out all the components that are needed.

With everything I need ready, I start production, while making sure that I fine-tune each component to make sure that they function as I want them to. The hardest part would be the intelligence chip, as I want it to be intelligent, but not full-blown mechanical life. This means I have to be extremely careful with what I am doing, don't want to do a Tony and make an Ultron for this universe, right?

I spent the next few hours just fine-tuning each component, which included the intelligence chip. when I was happy with each component, I start assembling my robo bear, and since he was going to resemble a polar bear this time, moving with practised ease, I assembled each component piece by piece, and after 2 hours, I finally finish.

Looking at my creation, I can't help but be proud of it. currently in its full size, it's slightly bigger than me, with a dazzling white surface. I used a special metal for that; it's similar to vibranium in a way, but not exactly. The same it absorbs kinetic energy, but not to the ridiculous level of actual vibranium.

After I finish admiring my work, I start to run tests, starting with the ability for it to enter a more portable mode, which just made it shrink to the size of K-9. With his ability to go small confirmed to work, I move on to the storage capabilities, just like the TARDIS seed device, the top of the body opens up, revealing a much larger space inside for storing anything I need to carry.

With no issues with the two main things, I run a few tests on the rest of the features before I finally hit the most important test, the test of its intelligence," Can you understand me?" It does not take long for it to arrive," affirmative", I can't help but smile. I had used the vocabulary of K-9, since what whovian would miss such an opportunity, to do so, that reminds me I am so going to have to be there when the Doctor sees Sarah Jane again.

It makes me wonder if she dies in this universe since the actress dies, causing her character to have to die canonically, since recasting her would not have ended well, I hope not, She was a good character, hell, she even started fighting aliens who came to earth after she was left by the Doctor. She even ended up getting her own companions.

Anyway, with that all confirmed, it's time to check on the cremation of the dog. I start making my way to the control room, with Robo Bear following behind. Once arriving, I make my way to the console, turning on the display to see the progress. To my surprise, the dog has hit the Goldilocks zone and has started to deteriorate from the immense heat coming from the sun.

Not long later, the body disappears completely. Once I confirm it's gone for good, I decide to make the attempt to head back to Jackie's apartment, knowing that it's down to my luck if I am going to be able to actually arrive as intended.

Once the destination is set and I engage the demoralisation, I decide to check my system to see why I have not heard anything from it, I have made a few things but not received a notification of any improvement.

System: Skills and Abilities.

Skills:

Disassemble:

LVL: Max

Description:

This skill allows the user to pull apart any machines into it basic components without causing damage to said components.

Assemble

LVL: Max

Description:

This skill allows the user to combine components to create a machine or create new components for use.

Creation:

LVL: 40

Description:

This skill allows the user to combine components to create something completely new or something that was based on a blueprint.

Design:

LVL: 10

Description:

This skill allows the user to create blueprints for new machines that can be later used to with the creation skill to guide in the creation of new machines.

Abilities:

Regeneration

LVL: MAX

Description:

The ability that all time lords have, allowing them to cheat death, has been weakened from its original, giving a restriction of only 12 regenerations or 13 versions of yourself. Note regeneration will usually regenerate the user to the same gender, but has a small chance to change gender; however, with the system, the user can ensure that chance is zero if they choose.

Mechanical Force:

Lvl Max.

This skill allows the user to connect with any kind of machine or machine components and manipulate them in any way. Also, this ability is a requirement for the creation of Mechanical Life forms such as AI or A TARDIS.

Effects:

Allows communication with any intelligent machines.

Allows for absolute control of any machines by simply thinking.

Allows one to send their Mechanical Force to check a machine's condition or the condition of certain components.

All intelligent Machines have a high favourable Opinion of the user.

Limitation depends on the user and their creativity

Note that this skill will always be at max level, but can be improved by the user.

Singular Entity In Time(LV.MAX). Passive

LV Max.

The owner of this ability only exists in the present of time, this does not mean the owner disappears from the past it means that two of the owner cannot exist, This means that there is no future self as his timeline follows him directly, allowing for direct influence over the events of the future as if they have never happened, or change events that must happen( note that changing events that must happen need to be changed to have something of equivalent size happen in its place to maintain the balance of time.)

Assimilate:

LVL: 3

At level 1 allows the user to learn skills by seeing it being used it while also allowing for easier learning of knowledge or self learnt skills also allows for the use of skills the users stats do not meet the requirements for, however after using this function it will leave the user in a weakened state depending on their race(note for a time lord due to the unique regeneration properties will only be weakened for 2 seconds at most)

Seeing that some of my abilities have indeed increased. I sigh in relief, although not being informed by any increase is strange, it's welcome, meaning that I will not be interrupted by it while I am doing something.

Not long later, my TARDIS informs me we have arrived, but there's a problem. I sigh before making my way to the door, expecting myself to be in the right location, but at the wrong time" Well, in the words of the eleventh Doctor, Geronimo" After I finish speaking, I open the door to see what awaits me.
