Darkness looked down at her hands on his shoulder. His heart felt a little tight. She noticed his moods, his likes, his fears…even when he didn't say anything.
He looked up again, voice soft, "So you really did this… all for me?"
Lilith gave a small nod, then tapped his forehead gently with her finger.
"Of course, silly," she said, teasing with a smile. "You're my dangerous human doll."
He chuckled under his breath, the coldness in his expression finally melting. He reached out and pulled her hand into his, his thumb brushing the back of her palm.
"Then let me thank you… properly," he said, voice deeper now.
Lilith raised a brow. "By eating all the food and not flirting too much?"
He leaned forward, lips close to her ear. "No. I was thinking of something better."
"No…" Lilith said softly, pushing his face away with two fingers. She didn't say it harshly — just with a small smile on her lips. "Behave. Sleep properly."
