The man's stern gaze fixed on the distance ahead, and soon he noticed a helmet propped up on an SVD sniper rifle. The fine sand beneath the helmet was somewhat disturbed, as if someone had been there. The helmet had been propped up for a while now, and just as he had originally suspected, it was merely a decoy; there was no one there. A few meters away lay a suspected target, covered in a Jili camouflage suit. Although such a suit was not ideal for desert camouflage, it still provided a degree of concealment.
Behind the barren sand dunes, the situation was clear at a glance. The only possible hiding spot was beneath the Jili suit. The man watched the covered area coldly, slowly extending his gun and aiming. It seemed like he was performing a trivial task, his facial expression unchanged, no hint of murderous intent leaking out. Swiftly, the man fired a shot, sudden and indifferent.
"Whoosh!" The bullet hit the Jili suit, but not the splash of blood or screams he expected.
