They fight back but are immediately at a disadvantage due to the effects of a poison that had been released since their arrival.
Meng Shenji, Bai Baoshan, and Zhi Lin help defend the Empire's soldiers, but they are being slowly overwhelmed as well, with Shenji being stabbed through the chest from behind by the leader of one of Martial Hall's pet Seven Clans, Baoshan having to shield from aerial attacks, and Lin having to deal with the poison on the ground.
Things go from bad to worse when Martial Hall Douluo Jiang Long (known as the Falling Devil Douluo; he's Level 96) shows up. The Empire entourage is attacked from behind, and even Dai Weisi and Zhu Zhuyun, using Fusion Hell White Tiger, are canceled out by Jiang Long.
The Empires are pushed almost to defeat when Xie Yue kills one of the Star Luo Empire's main fighters and Jiang Long nearly shatters Baoshan's shield.
When Jiang Long goes for his final attack on the shield, his attack is blown back by a Clear Sky Hammer impacting it from the side, creating a small explosion that a winged Hell White Tiger shields the Empire from.
Next it was an epic entry of Shrek Devils appearing, announcing that they are back.
After defeating the Martial Soul Hall members, including Jiang Long, Tang San was defeated by Tang San using the Sea God Trident and Sea God Light.
