The driver was utterly frightened and had no choice but to step on the gas and speed away.
Damn it, this person isn't just a lunatic, he looks like a robber. With no money on him, he's heading to Dongjiang City, and he might just rob me halfway there.
No way, I've got to think of a way fast.
"Hello, officer? I've been taken hostage."
While driving, he quietly took out his phone to report to the police, speaking in a low voice.
"Where are you?"
"I'm a taxi driver, and I've been taken hostage by a passenger. I'm currently on the way to Dongjiang City."
"Alright, don't hang up your phone. We're tracking and locating you now."
"Beep beep... beep beep..."
About twenty minutes later, the rapid sirens of police cars blared from behind the taxi, as two police cars sped towards them.
