Uchiha Mirai took two slow steps forward, eyes narrowing at the arrogant Ōtsutsuki Toneri.
It had been a long time since anyone dared act so brazenly in front of him.
As expected of the Ōtsutsuki Clan—bold to a fault.
Just as Mirai was about to make a move, Hyūga Hinata grabbed his arm.
"Let me handle this, sensei," Hinata said firmly.
Toneri hadn't just insulted her—he had also tortured her younger sister into her current state.
And now, he dared disrespect her teacher?
Hinata had never felt rage like this before.
Mirai studied her for a moment. Seeing the determination in her eyes, he eventually gave a slight nod.
Facing someone like Toneri would be a valuable experience for Hinata. It would sharpen her combat instincts and give her a chance to fully test the power of the Tenseigan…
It was an opportunity too good to pass up.
Mirai stepped to the side and moved to where Hanabi lay.
Toneri, perhaps blinded by his own arrogance, paid him no mind. In his eyes, Hanabi no longer served any purpose.
What mattered now was keeping Hinata here on the moon—forever.
With a thought, Toneri summoned a dozen puppets and sent them charging toward Hinata.
She let out a cold snort, lightning crackling over her body. In a flash, she vanished.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
...
In mere moments, all of the puppets were annihilated.
Toneri's expression didn't change. He spoke softly, "Hinata, I didn't expect you to possess such formidable power."
"Once we join together, our offspring will be far greater than I ever imagined."
He hadn't even finished his sentence before Hinata was already upon him.
"Die!"
"Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams Palm!"
Her lightning-fast speed, paired with precise Gentle Fist strikes, sent Toneri flying.
"S-She's so fast…"
Wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth, Toneri's gaze turned icy.
If she insisted on fighting, then he no longer needed to hold back.
After all, the Tenseigan granted him the ability to control others' minds. If persuasion failed, he could simply turn Hinata into one of his puppets.
With that in mind, he formed a series of hand seals.
"Tenseigan Chakra Mode!"
In an instant, green chakra engulfed him, forming a translucent armor around his body.
Behind him, nine glowing Truth-Seeking Orbs materialized, floating ominously.
"So this is the power of the Tenseigan…" Hinata murmured.
From her Byakugan's perspective, Toneri looked like an entirely different person—his chakra surged like a wild beast, roaring skyward.
But that wasn't all.
An overwhelming stream of chakra was flowing into Toneri from afar.
"That must be the energy from the Giant Tenseigan…" Hinata muttered.
Toneri hovered in the air, his eyes blazing with excitement.
"Do you see it now, Hinata? This is my true power!"
"Surrender to me, and together we can rebuild the shinobi world!"
Hinata replied coldly, "That's not your power. You traded your clansmen's lives for it. There's nothing admirable about that."
Toneri's expression darkened. "So you even know about that… Then I have no choice but to make you a mindless puppet."
The truth about the clan's infighting—their eyes gouged out and fed to the Giant Tenseigan—was a wound he never wanted exposed.
Now that Hinata had torn it open, rage exploded within him.
But before he could act, Hinata attacked again.
"Eight Trigrams Air Palm!"
With a cry, she thrust her palm toward his chest.
Toneri twisted his body slightly, scoffing, "Too slow."
"Repulsion!"
A powerful wave of force blasted Hinata back.
He didn't give her a moment to recover. Raising his arm, Toneri unleashed another technique.
"Silver Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"
The Truth-Seeking Orbs spun rapidly, forming a devastating tornado that swallowed Hinata whole.
Moments later, the storm dispersed. Hinata dropped to one knee, panting heavily.
That technique had been monstrously powerful. If not for the protection of her Lightning Release Chakra Armor, she might've been torn to pieces.
"Full Power Lightning Release Chakra Mode!"
Hinata reignited her chakra and charged at Toneri once more.
"You still won't give up?"
"I'm starting to lose my patience."
Toneri dodged her attacks with ease.
Now that he had entered Tenseigan Chakra Mode, both his vision and reflexes were more than capable of keeping up with her.
After a few exchanges, Toneri found an opening. He shot into the sky, raising his right arm high above his head. His expression was cold, imperious.
"Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!"
...
A massive golden chakra blade erupted from his hand, stretching skyward before he swung it down toward the moon.
BOOM!
A thunderous crack split the air. The moon was cleaved in half.
Hinata and Hanabi stared in shock, mouths agape.
He had split the moon… with a single strike.
What terrifying power.
"This is just a warning," Toneri declared. "If you insist on resisting, then don't blame me for showing no mercy."
"Even a god's patience has limits."
He hovered above them like a deity, gazing coldly down at the three below.
Having synchronized with the Giant Tenseigan, he believed himself invincible.
Hinata looked toward Uchiha Mirai, her face bruised and battered, eyes pleading.
"Sensei… I-I can't… anymore…"
With a simple wave of his hand, Mirai summoned a gentle gravitational force that lifted Hinata into the air and brought her to his side.
"You and Hanabi stay here. I'll make sure he pays for what he did to you."
Hearing this, both sisters quickly nodded and retreated to safety.
...
"Pointless resistance," Toneri sneered.
"No matter how many times you struggle, the result will always be the same—"
"Death."
"My will is absolute—"
Before he could finish, a tyrannical force slammed into him, cutting off his words.
BAM!
Toneri's body crashed hard into the ground, completely disheveled—nothing like the divine figure he'd been moments before.
Mirai casually scratched his nose and muttered, annoyed,
"You think you can play god in front of me? You're not even close."
