A low voice rang out.
Invisible soundwaves rippled through the air.
Uchiha Madara's seemingly unstoppable attack vanished into nothingness. A moment later, his massive Susanoo shattered like glass, and Madara himself shot to the ground like a cannonball.
Boom!
The impact shook the earth, tearing the terrain apart.
Senju Hashirama cried out and rushed over, catching Madara in his arms.
"Madara!"
He called his name several times, but Madara didn't respond at all. His face had gone pale, and his breath was so faint it was barely there.
Hashirama's heart ached at the sight.
The soldiers of the Divine Nation were all frozen in shock.
Uchiha Madara, wielder of the Kekkei Mōra, was one of the strongest among them. Even in previous battles, he had fought off multiple enemies at once without breaking a sweat—an undisputed powerhouse within their ranks.
And yet, such a titan was nearly killed... by a single casual blow from Ōtsutsuki Shibai.
That kind of power... was terrifying beyond words.
...
In stark contrast to the stunned silence of the Divine Nation's ninja, the faces of the Ōtsutsuki clan were lit with glee.
They stood and cheered, pride as members of the divine bloodline surging once more in their hearts.
"Hahaha! These pathetic ants who don't know their place—now they'll learn what it means to defy gods."
"To challenge our divine clan... what fools. They must be tired of living."
"After the losses they've caused us, even if we tear them limb from limb, it wouldn't be enough to satisfy my hatred!"
"Shibai-sama, please—wipe out these evil worms for good!"
High above, another cold voice echoed down.
"So noisy."
Splurt! Splurt! Splurt!
...
In an instant, dozens of the loudest-mouthed Ōtsutsuki were reduced to clouds of blood mist.
The cheers vanished.
Silence fell like a stone. No one dared make another sound.
Ōtsutsuki Shibai's voice was ice-cold.
"You useless worms. Even with all the power at your disposal, you nearly let your entire clan be annihilated."
"If you weren't still of some use to me, I'd have eaten you all by now."
He felt no real attachment to his kin.
Once one reached his level of power, such bonds were meaningless.
Besides, he knew full well—his so-called clanmates longed to achieve the same transcendence he had. In truth, they were competitors.
Still, for now, they served a purpose—collecting chakra fruits for him. That alone was reason enough to keep them alive.
Having finished disciplining his own, Shibai turned his gaze toward the ninja of the Divine Nation.
"You're all quite strong. If you swear loyalty to me, I'll overlook what happened here today."
At his words, Uzumaki Naruto was the first to shout in defiance.
"You even kill your own people—you're nothing but a monster! There's no way we'd ever follow someone like you!"
Shibai scoffed. "Humanity? I am a god. What need do I have for something so lowly?"
"Very well. If you won't kneel, then you can be erased."
"I think I'll also pay a visit to that place that birthed so many of you... Let's see what secrets your world holds."
With that, he stopped wasting words and raised his hand, preparing to strike down the ninja below.
A massive palm descended from the heavens, blotting out the sky.
The area around the Divine Nation's forces seemed locked in place. They couldn't move. Not even powerhouses like Namikaze Minato, Senju Hashirama, Uzumaki Naruto, or Uchiha Sasuke—each blessed with Kekkei Mōra—could so much as lift a finger.
"Damn it... This power—it's not even on the same level as ours."
"So this... this is the might of a god? We can't fight that."
"No wonder the Emperor saw him as a worthy opponent... He's far beyond what we can handle."
Despite the crushing pressure, there was little fear on the faces of the Divine Nation's ninja.
Because they knew—he would come.
The man who could do anything.
The man they called Emperor.
...
"Hmph. If you won't repent, I'll end it now."
Seeing the soldiers of the Divine Nation still refusing to beg or cower, Shibai lost the last shred of interest.
His palm fell.
He would obliterate them all.
But at that exact moment—
A translucent energy shield appeared out of thin air, blocking the strike from above.
Boom!
Two godlike forces collided, shattering the very fabric of space.
The surrounding environment warped, twisting in on itself. Outside the barrier, the remaining Ōtsutsuki were ripped to shreds by the backlash.
And then—a surge of overwhelming energy shot skyward, slamming into the back of Shibai's head.
His chin dropped involuntarily.
...
"And you dare call yourself a god?"
A lone figure hovered above the ninja of the Divine Nation.
Back straight, hands clasped behind him, long white hair flowing in the wind—his gaze was calm as he locked eyes with Ōtsutsuki Shibai.
Though his form was minuscule compared to Shibai's towering avatar, the sheer force of his presence was overwhelming.
He stood above all, commanding awe and reverence.
"It's the Emperor! I knew he'd come!"
"So damn cool... Even a god worshiped by the Ōtsutsuki has to bow his head in front of him!"
"They're finished... The Ōtsutsuki are finished. I bet they never imagined their so-called god couldn't care less about them."
Beneath the energy shield, surrounded by the cheers of his comrades, Hatake Kakashi smiled faintly.
"That guy Mirai really knows how to make an entrance... What a showoff."
Uchiha Sasuke, meanwhile, stared at Uchiha Mirai's back, eyes burning with admiration.
When would he be able to command such respect with a single gesture, a glance?
So cool... Damn it, he's just too cool!
...
"You... Who are you?!"
At last, Shibai's expression cracked.
Gone was the calm, unmoving face—replaced by stunned disbelief.
He stared at Mirai, mind reeling in shock.
Judging by the power he'd just unleashed... this man stood on the same plane as him.
But how? Shibai had devoured thousands of chakra fruits, each containing the energy of entire worlds, to attain transcendence.
Could someone else in this universe truly reach the same height?
...
Mirai didn't answer.
He turned back to the gathered ninja and spoke calmly.
"You all did well. Once I deal with Shibai, I'll take you home."
And just like that, he transported the entire Divine Nation force into his personal dimension.
Only after that did he turn back to Shibai.
"Ōtsutsuki Shibai—your death is today."
Shibai chuckled coldly, his gaze sharpening to a murderous edge.
"Then show me what you've got."
"It's been a long time since I faced anyone who might push me further. If I devour you... perhaps I'll break into an entirely new realm!"
