Chapter 414: Grand Line Year 1497

---

The calendar turned to the year 1497 of the Grand Line Era.

After a few days of rest, Charlotte had returned to his peak form.

Looking at the excited expressions of everyone in the Rockefeller Pirates, he knew exactly what they felt.

They had held back for far too long—

And now, they were desperate to let the world hear their roar.

He gathered the entire crew of the Rockefeller Pirates.

Standing at the front were:

Douglas Bullet

Rockefeller Estes

Rockefeller Caesar

Carter, Paul, and Isaac

These were the pillars of the crew.

They all looked at Charlotte with eyes full of reverence, while behind them, thousands of crewmates stared at their captain.

Charlotte slowly raised the Seven-Star Sword in his hand and spoke clearly:

"We march—target: BIG MOM Pirates!"

"ROAR!"

Weapons were raised, and the call echoed like thunder.

The dormant Rockefeller Pirates moved once again.

Over forty pirate ships surged across the vast sea, creating a spectacle.

Passing merchant ships and even other pirate crews were stunned by the sight.

That flag—fluttering in the wind—was the banner of the Rockefeller Pirates.

Morgans immediately published the breaking headline:

> "Rockefeller Pirates on the Move! Their Blades Point at the BIG MOM Pirates!"

This headline stirred a tidal wave across the New World, rapidly spreading into the first half of the Grand Line and even the Four Blues.

All attention shifted to the center of the New World.

One was the legendary Rockefeller Pirates, one of the Four Great Pirate Crews.

The other—BIG MOM Pirates—had risen to power in recent years, rapidly annexing islands and dominating the central sea.

Both captains were long-time titans of the sea.

Who would fall first? No one could say.

Even the Navy, World Government, Flying Pirates, Whitebeard Pirates, and the Roger Pirates en route to Raftel had their eyes on this clash.

Marineford – Navy Headquarters

"Rockefeller Pirates are launching an attack on the BIG MOM Pirates. What are your thoughts?"

Fleet Admiral Kong said, scanning the intel in hand.

"Send Garp and Kuzan into the New World. If an opportunity arises, arrest them both."

Vice Admiral Tsuru offered her advice.

Kong glanced at both Tsuru and Garp, then nodded.

"Alright. Garp and Kuzan will deploy. It's a smaller move, less likely to cause waves."

Garp's face instantly dropped.

"Come on, Kong-bro, I—"

Kong waved him off.

"While you're in the New World, locate the Roger Pirates too. After their scuffle with Charlotte Linlin at Cake Island, they vanished. The World Government is very concerned and wants our help."

At the mention of Roger, Garp immediately perked up.

"No worries. I'll definitely catch Roger!"

He'd said that dozens of times by now. The others in the meeting didn't even react anymore.

Kong nodded.

The meeting dispersed.

Since losing so many elite troops in the Sabaody battle against Charlotte, the Navy's strategy had turned from offense to defense.

Even the Admirals no longer dared enter the New World easily.

One wrong move could provoke the titans of the sea—and if those sea emperors ever united, it could spell disaster.

For the first time in 800 years, the Navy was fighting from a corner.

"Damn that Rockefeller Charlotte!"

Kong slammed the table after everyone left.

His eyes drifted to a report on the desk—

> "Red Count Patrick Redfield spotted in the first half of the New World."

"Him… a failed relic,"

Kong sneered.

"Still, maybe we can use him."

In recent years, the Navy had been constantly suppressed.

Outside of a few rare victories, most great pirates roamed freely.

Someone had to be brought down soon—

Or the Navy's reputation would shatter entirely.

Kong stared at the wanted poster:

> "Red Count Patrick Redfield – 3.5 billion bounty – Dead or Alive."

Elsewhere – First Half of the New World

"Gya-hahaha! So Charlotte finally made his move! About time—I was getting bored!"

Golden Lion Shiki roared with laughter.

This was Shiki's happiest period in years.

With the Navy retreating from the New World, many bases and islands had been left abandoned—

A gift the Flying Pirates claimed without lifting a blade.

"Boss Shiki, where to next?"

Shiki grinned.

"Where else? To settle the score with Roger!"

He brandished both his swords and shouted:

"Set course for the Roger Pirates!"

The ships moved immediately.

One curious pirate whispered:

"But Boss… the Roger Pirates vanished over a month ago. Where do we even start?"

SLASH!

The whisperer was instantly cut to pieces by a flying blade.

Shiki hovered in the air, looking down coldly.

All the pirates bowed their heads in terror.

New World – Whitebeard's Moby Dick

"Dad, it's like the Roger Pirates just disappeared,"

Marco said, scanning the intelligence reports.

Whitebeard took a swig of sake.

"Disappeared? Huh…"

"No idea how. They've gone totally off the map."

Marco frowned.

Suddenly, Vista rushed over with a newspaper in hand.

"Dad! The Rockefeller Pirates are making a massive move—marching on the BIG MOM Pirates!"

Everyone turned to listen.

Whitebeard chuckled, putting down his drink.

"Kurararara! So the kid's getting serious. Want to go have a look, boys?"

"Really?!"

Vista's eyes lit up.

Of all the sons, he was the most curious about the Rockefeller Pirates.

"Don't get too excited, Vista! They're just another crew—don't forget who we are!"

Other pirates teased.

Vista just smiled.

"I only want to witness the might of the World's Greatest Swordsman."
