Over the past year, Yan Yan had poured all her heart into "cultivating new talent."

If Yan Yan came to New York, what would they do if the two designers reverted to their previous mutually hostile state?
"Let them argue, then. While they get along, I'll have them work on a small series together. If they start fighting, I'll let each of them do a series on their own, and they can compete in a 'ring fight' on the runway to see whose designs have more market appeal," Yan Yan had considered such possibilities before.
