"You mean..." Shen Mochen's pupils dilated, a surprise filled his heart.
"Let's have a child." Han Muxue spoke as she gently removed her clothes, her gaze soft and loving as she watched him.
"Xuexue, calm down," Shen Mochen pressed on her.
"Don't you want to have a child with me?" Han Muxue bit her lip, her eyes quivering with unshed tears.
"It's not that I don't want to, it's just not the right time," Shen Mochen sighed as he explained.
"Why?" Han Muxue's expression was fraught with emotion.
"Xuexue, you should understand."
"But... I really have no other way, I'm so scared..." Han Muxue's voice trembled, and tears began to fall, one by one, onto Shen Mochen's face. "They all look so beautiful, have great figures, good families, and aren't bad-tempered like me... I'm so scared you'll leave me."
Shen Mochen raised his hand to caress Han Muxue's cheek: "I'm not going to leave you, I promise you that."
