After enjoying the hot springs and not encountering Kiyono Lin just out of the bath was slightly disappointing.
Back in his room, Dubian Che picked a soda from the mini-fridge and then turned on the TV to watch a French comedy film.
The story was about a wealthy nobleman named Philip who became paralyzed in his lower limbs due to a parachuting accident and could no longer care for himself. He hired a young Black man, who had just been released from prison, to help around the house.
The plot was funny but also had its heartfelt moments.
While watching, Dubian Che didn't specifically try to learn anything from it, just noted down a couple of lines.
He sent one of these lines to Kiyono Lin.
"I think everyone has at least one close friend, and has had countless ordinary yet memorable moments, regardless of how times change."
"You missed the middle part."
"I know, but don't you feel that this describes us better?"
"I'm only sixteen, I don't have those kinds of feelings yet."
