Chapter 8 - Chapter- 8 of the demons

"Where… am I?" Jace murmured, his voice barely above a whisper, unable to grasp his situation.

He glanced around, his eyes adjusting to the dim light. It was nighttime. The full moon hung high, glowing an eerie yellow. Endless valleys of sand stretched around him, the wind brushing softly against his skin. But his focus was drawn to something else—a massive cave in the distance, made of jagged stone with spikes protruding from its entrance.

"Oh yeah… now I remember," Jace muttered, his gaze locked on the menacing cave. But before he could dwell on his thoughts, a movement caught his eye.

A shadowy figure emerged, walking silently beside him, a gleaming sword in its hand.

Jace's breath hitched. "Huh? What… what are you doing?" he asked, his voice laced with disbelief.

The figure didn't respond. It just kept moving—step by step—toward the cave's entrance.

Jace's heart pounded in his chest. "Hey, stop!" he called out, his voice more urgent now. But the figure ignored him, closing the distance to the cave with unsettling determination.

Panic surged through Jace. He sprinted after it, his feet kicking up sand as he reached out, grabbing the figure's shoulder.

But in an instant—

WHAM!

The figure's arm swung back, hitting Jace with inhuman force, sending him crashing onto the ground.

Jace coughed, gasping for air, his body aching. He looked up at the figure, his eyes wide with horror. "Don't tell me… that you're…" his words trailed off as dread consumed him.

But the figure kept walking.

Jace's heart sank. His vision blurred as tears welled up in his eyes. "Stop, damn it!" His voice cracked, raw with desperation. "Have you lost your goddamn mind?! This is just not possible! Get back here…"

The figure didn't stop.

Jace's hands trembled as he clenched the sand beneath him, his tears falling freely now. "Hey! Stop!" he pleaded, his voice breaking. "You don't even know what you're doing…"

The figure stepped closer to the cave's entrance.

Jace fell to his knees, his body shaking, his spirit crushed. His voice barely escaped his lips—soft, filled with pain and hopelessness.

"We're doomed…"

The shadow reached the entrance of the cave, gripping the sword tightly towards the entrance. His eyes burned with fury, his presence radiating an unshakable resolve.

"It's time to pay for your sins, Amberion," he growled, his voice deep and unforgiving.

"NOOOOOOO!" Jace jolted awake, his breath ragged.

He glanced around—his room, the familiar walls, the dim glow of the clock on his nightstand. His heart pounded as he tried to shake the lingering feeling of dread.

"What was that…? My head is killing me," he muttered, rubbing his temples.

Still groggy, he swung his legs over the bed and walked into the hallway. The clock on the wall read 3:13 AM.

"Ugh, it's way too early for this…" Jace sighed.

He dragged himself to the kitchen, grabbed a glass, and filled it with water. The cool liquid soothed his dry throat, but just as he set the glass down—

"Ah-choo!"

Jace sniffled, frowning. "Guess I caught a cold."

Shivering slightly, he made his way back to bed. As he slipped under the covers, an overwhelming fatigue settled over him.

"Why does my body feel so heavy…?" he whispered, his eyelids growing heavier.

Wrapping himself tightly in the blanket, he let sleep take over once more.

Morning arrived, but this time Jace woke up on his own. He got ready for school and stepped outside, walking along the sidewalk beside the road.

"I've been getting way too many weird feelings lately… Like, a lot." He sighed, shaking his head as he continued his way to school.

As he stepped through the school gates, something felt off. He glanced around.

"Huh… I'm a little early today, I guess."

The usual rush of students hadn't fully gathered yet. With some time to spare, Jace decided to take a walk around the campus. But as he wandered, a strange unease settled in his chest.

He glanced down at his hands, staring at them for a moment before shaking off the feeling and continuing his walk. Eventually, he reached the basketball court. Everything seemed… normal.

He tilted his head, looking up at the sky. Also, normal.

"Wait… wasn't there supposed to be a crack here? From when that thing fell?"

A flicker of doubt crossed his mind, but he brushed it away.

"Maybe it was just my imagination… Yeah, there's no way something like that actually happened." Jace let out a small laugh, convincing himself.

He turned toward the school building, heading to his classroom.

"For a moment, I really thought I was different. That maybe… I had something no one else did. But things like that don't happen in our world."

With that thought lingering in his mind, he walked in, took his usual seat, and stared out the window, lost in thought.

He took a pen and notebook out

"I will try to remember and write whatever I know about all this" said Jace grabbing the pen into his hands

He opened the notebook and started to write everything that in was his mind

The class dragged on, boring as ever. Jace sat at the back, mindlessly doodling to kill time.

His mind wandered as he absentmindedly sketched a rough image of a cave. Out of nowhere, he scribbled a word beside it—"Amberion"—with an arrow pointing to the cave.

"Amberion!? Didn't know you were into ancient myths, Jace…"

Jace blinked, startled by the voice. He looked up to see one of his classmates standing beside his desk, her hand resting on the table as she leaned slightly to get a better look at his notebook.

Jace's eyebrows furrowed. "Huh?" He was beyond confused.

"What?" She pointed at his doodle. "Isn't that Amberion?"

Jace stared at the notebook, his mind blank. "I… didn't even realize what I was writing. I was just… mindlessly drawing. What is even going on?" He glanced back up at her, his confusion deepening.

"What is this?" he asked, his tone cautious.

She tilted her head, her finger tapping her chin as she thought. "Even I don't know much about it…" Her eyes narrowed slightly, as if trying to recall something. Then, suddenly—

"Oh yeah!" Her face lit up. "Oh yeah they used to say.... make sure to pray to amberion cause no one can Face its rage"

"Who… who used to say that?" His voice was low, he was really confused

"My grandmother," she replied, her tone softer now. "I don't know much, but if you're really interested…" She looked at him with a small smile. "You can come over to my house. She used to keep some old books about it."

Jace's mind raced. "Come over to know more? What is she even saying… but…" His eyes flicked back to the word in his notebook. "I need to know more about this."

"Okay," Jace said, his voice almost automatic.

Her smile widened. "Here," she said, pulling out her phone. "Take my number and come by in the evening."

The day dragged on with the usual boring classes, and time flew by as Jace sat quietly, lost in his own thoughts. Before he knew it, the final bell rang. Stretching a little, he grabbed his bag and walked out of the class, blending into the crowd of students leaving for the day.

As he made his way through the hallway, his eyes caught a familiar face in the distance. A wide grin appeared on his face.

"Yo, brother!" Jace waved enthusiastically.

Vance turned around

"Hello, Jace! How are you?" he said

Jace jogged up to him, looking relieved.

"Bro, I really thought you were dea—"

"Wha—no way!" Vance cut him off with a laugh, but then he raised his arm, showing it to Jace. His forearm was wrapped in a bandage.

"But look at this… see what you did," Vance said, with a little frown on his face.

Jace's eyes widened. "Wait… when did this happen!?"

"Bruh, don't you remember? You literally crushed my bone that day. I got a crack in the bone—that's why I was on leave for a few days," Vance said, glancing at his arm.

"Ohhh… right," Jace mumbled, his eyebrows furrowed. "But no way your bone actually cracked!"

"It did, dude."

"Man, you really got some weak bones," Jace teased, but then his tone softened. "But… it must've hurt a lot, yeah? A cracked bone's no joke."

"Yeah, it hurt a lot in the first few days, but it's way better now," Vance replied with a shrug.

They started walking together, chatting casually.

Suddenly, Jace's face lit up with excitement.

"Bro! You missed my race! Guess what? I got first place—I won the gold medal!"

"What!?" Vance's eyes went wide with surprise. "I heard something about that from my classmate, but I thought he was just messing around. You actually won!?"

"Sure did!" Jace said proudly, his grin stretching from ear to ear.

"Wasn't Joel in the race too? You beat him?" asked Vance, clearly impressed.

"Yeah, I absolutely destroyed Joel in that race!" Jace laughed, recalling the moment. "You should've seen his face after he lost. It was hilarious!"

"Whoa… that's amazing!" Vance said, genuinely impressed.

"Wanna see my medal?" Jace asked, his smile growing even bigger.

"Sure, why not!"

They both stopped walking as Jace started digging through his bag.

"Umm… where did I put it?" Jace mumbled, searching through his stuff. His hands shuffled around until finally—

"Ah, found it!" He pulled out the medal and held it up proudly.

"Here, check it out!"

Vance took the medal in his hands, his eyes sparkling as he looked at it closely.

"Whoa… this is really a gold medal," he said, with admiration in his voice.

Jace couldn't help but smile, his chest swelling with pride.

"Sure is."

After a few moments, Vance handed the medal back,

Jace looked at it for a second, then glanced at Vance.

"You know what, bro?" Jace said, his voice softer now. "You can keep it."

Vance blinked, clearly surprised. "What? No! You earned this! How can I keep it?"

Jace shrugged with a grin.

"Just consider it… a sign of our ultimate friendship."

Vance's eyes softened, and after a moment of hesitation, he nodded.

"Okay then… I'll take it," he said, carefully slipping the medal into his pocket.

They resumed walking, the conversation shifting to lighter topics.

"Yo, by the way," Vance said casually, "have you heard the new song by Abyss Rocks?"

"Nah, you know me, bro. I don't really listen to songs. It's just not my thing." Said Jace casually

With small talk like that, they kept walking for a while, the air filled with easy laughter and playful banter. Eventually, they reached the point where their paths split.

"Alright, see ya tomorrow, bro," Jace said, giving Vance a nod.

"Yeah, later!" Vance waved as they parted ways, heading back home.

Jace made his way home, feeling a little tired but in a good mood after hanging out with Vance. As he opened the front door, the familiar warmth of home greeted him. The faint aroma of spices filled the air, making his stomach growl.

"Mom, I'm so hungry!" Jace called out as he kicked off his shoes and headed straight for the kitchen.

His mom was by the stove, stirring something in a pot. She glanced back at him with a warm smile.

"Don't worry, the food will be ready in a few minutes," she said gently. "Just go change in the meantime… I made your favorite dish after all."

Jace's eyes lit up instantly.

"For real!?" he exclaimed, his excitement bubbling over.

His mom nodded with a knowing smile.

"Alright!" Jace grinned, already imagining the delicious meal waiting for him. But before he turned to leave, a thought struck him.

"By the way, Mom… where's Lil' Bro?" he asked, glancing around as if expecting his little brother to pop out of nowhere.

"Oh… he's gone out to play with the neighbor's kids," she replied, her tone casual as she stirred the pot.

"Ahh, okay. I see." Jace nodded, not surprised. His brother was always out and about, running around with the neighborhood kids

With that, Jace headed toward his room to change. As he walked down the hallway, he noticed the door to his parents' room slightly open. Curious, he peeked inside and spotted his dad lying comfortably on the bed, watching TV.

"Yo, Dad!" Jace called out, stepping into the room. His dad turned his head slightly, flashing a relaxed smile.

"Hey, Jace. You're back," his dad said, still focused on the TV.

"Wait… how come you're home? Didn't you go to work today?" Jace asked, surprised to see him here.

"Nah, I had the day off," his dad replied, stretching a little as he shifted on the bed.

"Ahhh… lucky you." Jace smirked, dropping his bag on the bed

They both lay there quietly for a moment, watching the TV in silence.

Then, Jace turned to his dad with a playful grin.

"By the way, Dad… I'm not letting you steal my food today."

His dad raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smile tugging at his lips.

"Ha! Alright, alright. I won't," he chuckled, shaking his head.

"Good," Jace said with a satisfied grin, stretching his arms behind his head.

After lounging around with his dad for a bit, Jace finally dragged himself to his room

grabbed some comfortable clothes, and changed out of his uniform. Just as he settled on his bed, his mom appeared at the door with a warm smile, holding a plate of food.

"Here you go, Jace," she said, placing the plate on the bedside table.

"Thanks, Mom," Jace replied, his eyes lighting up at the sight of his favorite dish.

He sat on the bed, placing the plate beside him. The aroma was making his mouth water, but instead of digging in right away, he grabbed his phone and opened the messaging app. His thumb hovered over Sara's contact.

"Umm… what should I say?" Jace mumbled, furrowing his brows. He picked up the spoon, took a bite of food, and kept chewing while staring at the screen. His mind was racing.

"Do I just… go with a simple 'hi'?" He sighed, feeling a little unsure but decided to go with it.

'Hi' he typed and hit send.

Almost immediately, the message was marked as seen.

"Whoa… that was quick," Jace muttered, his heart skipping a beat.

A typing indicator popped up.

"She's replying already?" he whispered, sitting up straighter.

Then, her reply came through.

'Who are you?'

Jace froze. His heart started pounding in his chest.

"Wait… what!?" he mumbled, feeling a wave of panic wash over him. This was definitely not what he had expected.

'I'm Jace… you gave me your contact today.' He typed back quickly

A moment later, her reply came.

'Oh right

 I forgot

 Hello Jace

Here's my location.'

Jace blinked as a map link popped up on the screen.

"Damn… she's really fast at texting," he mumbled, feeling a bit overwhelmed. His mind wandered for a second.

"Maybe that's because she's got so many friends to talk to… not like me," he thought with a sigh.

Pushing that thought aside, Jace focused back on the conversation.

'Should I come right now?' he asked, feeling a little eager.

'No

Not yet

Aroung 4:30.

Around* '

Jace leaned back, letting out a breath.

"I don't even know why she wants me to come over… she could've told me everything at school," he thought, his mind racing with possibilities.

"But… I guess this is kind of cool. I've never been to a classmate's house before. At least I'll get some experience… maybe it won't be so bad."

Jace shifted his focus back to the plate of food. He picked up the spoon and started eating quickly

And soon it was around 3:45 when Jace finally decided to get ready. He stood in front of his closet, searched his clothes before grabbing a nicer outfit

"Alright… this should do," he mumbled, holding up a clean, well-ironed shirt and some decent pants.

Feeling satisfied, he stepped out of his room and made his way to the living room. His mom was sitting comfortably on the couch, enjoying her tea, while his little brother was happily munching on some sweets beside her.

"Hey, Mom! I'm going over to a friend's house," Jace announced casually.

Choke

His mom nearly spat out her tea, coughing and patting her chest.

"Cough… cough… What did you just say!?" she asked, her voice full of disbelief as she looked at Jace.

Jace blinked, a little startled by her reaction.

His little brother, who had been minding his own business, suddenly perked up, looking at Jace with wide eyes.

"You mean… that imaginary friend you made when we were younger? Right, brother?" his little brother said with a mischievous grin, stuffing another sweet into his mouth.

"Hey! Shut up!" Jace snapped, glaring at him.

His mom, still processing the information, shook her head slowly.

"No way… you actually made a friend? Other than Vance?" she asked, her tone filled with pure amazement.

"Yeah, Mom, I do have friends, you know," Jace muttered, crossing his arms. "And… sh— I mean he asked me to come over today."

His mom raised an eyebrow, clearly still suspicious, but then sighed and stood up.

"Well, at least wear your new clothes and look presentable before you go," she said, walking past him.

"Mom, I'm fine—"

"Nope. You're not going to embarrass yourself at someone's house," she cut him off, already digging through the closet. Within seconds, she pulled out some of Jace's best clothes and handed them to him.

"Here, put these on. And—oh! Come here."

Before Jace could react, she dragged him toward her, running her fingers through his hair and fixing it like he was a little kid.

"There, much better," she said, stepping back and admiring her work. "Okay, now tell me — when will you be back?"

"Uhh… I guess by 6 PM?" Jace said, scratching the back of his head.

"Where does your friend live?" she asked, narrowing her eyes slightly.

"I'll share the location with you," Jace replied, pulling out his phone.

"Okay then," she sighed, her tone softening. "Make sure to keep your phone on volume and come back on time. And if I call, you better pick up. Oh, and don't cause trouble for his parents, you hear me?"

"Okay, okay… I got it, Mom," Jace said with a groan, rolling his eyes slightly.

As Jace turned to leave, his little brother waved

"Have fun with your imaginary friend, Jace!"

Jace was off to her house, walking down the familiar streets with a slight bounce in his step. There was a mix of excitement and nervousness swirling inside him. It wasn't every day he got invited to a friend's house — especially not someone other than Vance.

The afternoon sun was still warm, casting long shadows as he walked along the sidewalk. He had already covered about 200 meters when a distant rumbling sound caught his attention. Jace instinctively turned around to look.

A motorbike was approaching, the low hum growing louder as it drew closer. As the bike came into view, Jace's eyes lit up — it was his dad.

Jace waved his hand high in the air.

"Yo, Dad!" he shouted.

His father slowed down, bringing the bike to a stop beside him.

"Where are you headed, Jace?" his dad asked, pulling up his visor with a curious look.

Jace jogged over, trying to hide the grin spreading across his face.

"Can you drop me off? I'm going to a friend's house," Jace said casually, but he couldn't completely mask the excitement in his voice.

His dad raised an eyebrow, clearly amused.

"A friend, huh?" he teased, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Didn't know you had more than one."

"Ha ha, very funny," Jace replied, rolling his eyes.

"No, it's not funny," said his father

Jace didn't waste a second. He climbed onto the bike, securing his grip around his dad's waist.

The wind rushed past Jace's face as they took off, the bike smoothly gliding down the road. The excitement bubbled inside him again, but this time, there was also a sense of comfort riding with his dad.

"Thanks for the lift, Dad," Jace murmured softly, though he wasn't sure if his dad could hear him over the engine.

And his dad dropped him on the streets as his dad had to go to other way now

Jace walked along the footpath, his hands stuffed into his pockets as the cool breeze rustled through the trees lining the street. The late afternoon sun filtered through the leaves, casting shifting patterns of light on the pavement.

"Man… I'm a little nervous," he mumbled to himself, his eyes focused on the ground. "I've never been to a classmate's house before… It's always just been me and Vance." His tone was casual, but there was a hint of unease in his voice.

He glanced down at his phone, checking the GPS. "Okay… I think I'm supposed to turn here."

As he turned right, his eyes wandered, taking in the sight of the neighbourhood. The houses here were big—clean lawns, tall fences, and well-kept gardens.

"Whoa… these houses are something else," Jace muttered, his gaze lingering on the perfectly trimmed hedges and polished gates. "This is a little expensive colony after all"

He walked a little slower, his eyes scanning the house numbers. "31…33… almost there." He kept walking, the crunch of gravel under his shoes breaking the quiet.

Then, he spotted it.

"There it is… 37."

Jace paused for a moment, standing in front of the house. It was a three-story white house with a modern design, clean lines, and a small garden by the entrance. It wasn't flashy, but it had an elegant, cozy charm.

"Alright…" Jace took a breath, shaking off the small knot of nerves in his chest.

He walked up to the door, hesitated for half a second, then pressed the doorbell.

"Hope this isn't too weird…" he murmured, shifting his weight from one foot to the other as he waited.

The door creaked open, and Jace's eyes landed on Sara.

She was wearing casual clothes — a loose t-shirt and comfortable shorts. It was the first time Jace had ever seen her dressed like this, and for a moment, he just… stared.

"Hey, dude?" Sara raised an eyebrow, her head tilting slightly as she noticed Jace spacing out.

Jace blinked, snapping back to reality.

"Ah! Yeah… hey," he muttered, quickly trying to cover up his awkwardness.

"Come on in, Jace," she said with a smile, stepping aside to let him in.

Jace walked in, his eyes scanning the place. Her house was neat but had a cozy vibe — soft cushions, shelves lined with books, and a few knick-knacks here and there.

"Where are your parents?" Jace asked, casually looking around.

"Oh…" Sara's voice was calm. "I live alone."

Jace's brain froze for a second.

"Oh shit… I came inside the house of a girl who lives alone."

That thought echoed in his mind, making his face heat up a little. He tried not to make it obvious and followed her as she led him to her room.

"You can sit there until I bring some snacks for us," Sara said, pointing to a cozy spot near a small table.

"okay," Jace mumbled, sitting down.

As he sat there alone, his thoughts wouldn't stop racing.

"This is the first time I've been in the house of a girl… well it's not like I have been in the house of a boy too before…"

His heart was pounding a little, but he tried to play it cool.

A few moments later, Sara returned, balancing a plate of cookies and two glasses of juice. She sat down in front of Jace, placing the plate between them.

"Take it," she said, picking up Jace's glass and handing it to him with a warm smile.

Jace took the glass, and surprisingly, the nervousness inside him began to settle. He took a sip and grabbed a cookie.

"By the way, why did you want me here?" Jace finally asked, curious.

Sara's eyes lit up.

"It's just… I've always been a huge fan of ancient myths and legends," she said softly. "My grandmother used to tell me so many stories. I've always wanted to discuss them with someone, but you're the first person I've met who's actually interested in them."

"Ohhh… so that's why she invited me," Jace thought, taking another sip of the juice.

"So, how's school going for you, Jace?" Sara asked casually, shifting the topic for a bit.

"It's alright, I guess," Jace replied, feeling more at ease now.

They chatted about school, teachers, and the usual stuff. Jace started to feel more comfortable, enjoying the easy conversation.

Then, suddenly, Sara stood up.

"Where's she going?" Jace wondered.

She disappeared into the kitchen and came back with the juice bottle and… an old, worn-out notebook.

"Want some more?" she asked, lifting the bottle.

"Sure…" Jace nodded.

Sara refilled his glass, then placed the notebook gently on the table.

"Look at this," she said, her voice filled with excitement. "This is my grandmother's old book. It's really old. It's got stories about Amberion and other myths people used to believe in… There were actually three books, but this is the only one I was able to find."

Jace's eyes widened a little.

"Whoa… that's cool," he murmured, taking another sip.

"This is written in a very weird language," Sara continued, flipping through the pages. "I had to translate it online, and it was tough. This language isn't available anywhere, so I've only managed to translate about… 10% so far."

"Can I take a look?" Jace asked, leaning forward with curiosity.

"Sure…" Sara handed it to him.

Jace stared at the ancient text, but it was impossible to make sense of it.

"I can't understand a thing…" he admitted.

"Of course you wouldn't," Sara giggled. "This language is a thousand years old or something. Let me recite stories to you."

"So long ago when the world used to be in peace with Gods," Sara began, her voice dropping to a near whisper as if the walls themselves were listening, "they say Amberion existed… and it was worshiped throughout the humanity and was seen as judgment entity"

Her eyes darkened, her tone growing heavier, "it was said that no one could withstand—or survive—the wrath of Amberion, so there were many rituals and prayers dedicated to it, that humans could stay in peace with it… They all believed if amberion raged it would be the end of the humanity"

Jace's pulse quickened. He leaned in, feeling an inexplicable pull as her words washed over him.

"And then…" Sara's voice grew even softer, making Jace strain to hear. "At those times there were three gods who mentioned to exist"

Jace's brow furrowed. "Three gods?"

Sara nodded slowly. "First of them was Lukus… [pronounced as 'Lu kas'] the god of pain and suffering."

Jace felt a chill. "Pain and suffering?"

Sara nodded; her expression dark. "Yes. He was considered to be cruelest of the three. Every disaster, every torment humanity endured—it was all considered to be his doing. But despite his merciless nature, it was said that he spared those who worshiped him."

Jace's heartbeat echoed in his ears, his mind racing.

"Then there was Sicus [C kas]," she continued, her voice laced with mystery. "There isn't much recorded about him… but he was revered as the greatest god."

Jace's eyes flickered with excitement. "The greatest…?"

"Yeah, I remember grandma telling me stories about him when I was really young, I don't remember much but he was the one who understood the balance of all things, I guess…."

Sara continued "then, there was Zexus[Zecs-us]—the most powerful. His power was beyond imagination, a force unlike anything else. He sat on the throne at that time. He was the conqueror of worlds. Every being feared his name and existence."

Jace's thoughts spiralled. "Just how strong were these gods?" he wondered aloud.

Sara's eyes widened, and with a playful grin, she said in a childish tone, "Ohhh, they were really strong! Lukus once crumbled an entire mountain range with a single punch! There was also Marcus who was dragon of gods who once turned countless villages to ashes"

With a serious face Sara added

"One thing was for sure Everyone worshiped them with absolute faith and belief."

"You don't need faith if you're this powerful." Arecus with a grudge filled smile

"What?" Sara blinked, pulling him back. "Dude, these are just myths."

Jace shook his head, quickly masking his emotions. "Oh yeah… I know." But his voice betrayed his growing curiosity. "Still… it's really fascinating."

Sara chuckled, her expression lightening. "Yeah… really cool. I wonder what it would be like to really exist in such a world."

Well this line of her aged like wine

A thought crashed into Jace's mind like a thunderbolt. His pulse surged.

Could it be…?

Even before he spoke. His heart already knew the answer but still, he forced the words out, grasping at the last remnants of a little hope.

"Was there ever a god named… Arceus?"

Sara blinked. "Huh? No. There were only three gods."

Jace's heart sank a little and face held an expression of acceptance and sorrow

"Yeah, there ain't anything like Arecus… It was just a making of my mind; I am not special" were the thoughts of Jace

But something else struck his mind

"Then what was Amberion? It was a god, wasn't it?"

Sara exhaled, closing the book with a soft thud.

"Amberion wasn't a god."

Jace felt his chest tighten.

"It was considered something else, something beyond gods."

The air around them felt heavier, as if the very room was listening.

"Even the Three prayed to it. They offered rituals, spoke its name in whispers."

She leaned closer, lowering her voice to barely above a breath.

Jace's face held a sinister broad smile

Amberian was a three-headed worshiped demon

he wasn't worshiped by humans out of admiration or faith, but out of sheer terror

they were too scared of his rage

Countless civilizations in the universe tried to claim Amberian, no one, not a single soul, could even approach him

At that time, the world was ruled by kings, queens, and gods.

There were three gods—Zexus, Sicus, and Lukus—worshipped alongside the demon by humans. They didn't hail from Earth but from some distant world deep in the cosmos. I've been to that place myself, that place was far better than human's earth

They had no hunger for power because they never lacked it. Among them, Zexus was the strongest… but it wasn't always that way. Sicus held the throne for as long as anyone could remember, a god who had never tasted defeat. But no matter how strong you are there will be one person born, who will shatter your limits

Zexus was born.

He defeated Sicus when he was nine.

Zexus looked down upon him, with the same eyes Sicus once had for others. "Why are you so weak?" he failed to understand how it's like to be weak.

Sicus, for the first time in his immortal life, tasted defeat. The rage burned inside him. Six months later, Sicus returned to reclaim his throne, desperate to erase the sting of that loss. He succeeded... but not for long.

That victory didn't last. Zexus came back, but this time he knew a new emotion. Their second battle wasn't even close—Zexus shattered Sicus, body and soul. By the age of thirteen, Zexus was unstoppable, his name forever carved into the throne of gods.

And everyone turned to Zexus... but something about Sicus was different, even Tho Zexus was the strongest and held the throne but he was referred to as Zexus, only Zexus. but it was always Lord Sicus.

17 January 1267

"Umm… let me do it," said the girl, her voice filled with excitement as she tapped on her phone.

The screen lit up as the camera turned on, and she went live on social media.

The scene was surreal—she stood on the edge of a cliff in the middle of a vast desert, her two friends standing just behind her, grinning from ear to ear. Their eyes sparkled with excitement as they took in the sight before them.

In the distance, massive pyramids were being built—not by human hands, but by spaceships. Gigantic blocks of stone, larger than anything imaginable, were being hoisted into place by sleek, alien-looking crafts. Thick ropes, glowing faintly with energy, held the blocks as they were carefully positioned, one by one, creating the skeletal frame of a pyramid that looked ancient and futuristic at the same time.

The live stream caption read: "Pyramids Getting Built!"

"Okay, okay… I guess we're live now," the girl said, her voice barely able to contain her excitement as she looked into the front camera, making sure the view was clear.

The chat was already buzzing.

"Hello!"

"Let's go!"

"Wow!"

"past was sure prety"

"Finally!"

The girl was focused on the front camera, adjusting the angle slightly to capture the best view. A gentle breeze swept across her face, making her hair sway a little. She smiled as she glanced at the screen, seeing the pyramids and the excitement flooding the live chat.

Then, she turned her head back to look at her friends, her eyes sparkling with wonder.

"Guys… this is so pretty," she said softly, her voice filled with awe.

"Yeah! But now let's go!" said one of the boys behind her, leaning into the frame with a grin, his enthusiasm matching hers.

The sight of the pyramids being rebuilt by impossible technology unfolding before them. The moment felt unreal—like something straight out of a dream.

"Where to, Hunny?" she asked, her breath slightly uneven as she glanced toward one of the boys.

"Lord Zexus's assembly is about to start. We gotta hurry!" Hunny replied, his eyes filled with urgency.

"Okay, okay! Let's not miss it!" she said, her excitement matching his.

Without wasting another second, they all took off running, their footsteps kicking up small clouds of sand as they dashed across the desert terrain. She held her phone steady, glancing down at the screen. Her front camera was still on, and the live chat was buzzing with comments—

"OMG Zexus!!"

"Go go go!!"

"Don't miss it!"

A small grin tugged at her lips. "You guys are excited, huh?" she mumbled, switching to the back camera to capture the view ahead while keeping pace with her friends.

The unfinished pyramids glinted under the sun, the massive blocks hovering momentarily in the air before being carefully placed by the hovering spaceships. The scenery was surreal, almost like a dream, yet it felt so real beneath her feet.

"Man… the environment here is actually really nice," she said, her voice carrying a sense of wonder.

"Yeah… it's almost peaceful," mumbled the other boy, his eyes fixated on the horizon where a massive white structure loomed—the place where Zexus's assembly was about to unfold.

They all made it to the assembly of Zexus

"Oh no its already started… we are late," said the girl

She turned her phone into landscape mode to get a full view and started recording the assembly for afar

there was a white dome where Zexus was sitting on his throne with his armor on like a proud king along with two guards and above him was a plane land where around 300 people were standing with their face lowered but one of them had his one had raised
