Chapter 386 - Chapter 386: Gathering Meal

"Is it really that powerful?" Goku asked excitedly, eager to learn this technique.

"Of course!" Krillin was confident. He had only just mastered the first level, which allowed him to unleash 100% of his power. Without even that first level of Muken, his battle against Piccolo would have ended much faster! Little bald head couldn't even imagine what the second, third, or even the seventh, eighth, ninth, or tenth levels of Muken would be like!

Just how strong would a person like that be?

Being able to unleash several times, or even ten times, their power anytime, anywhere?

The Muten Tower had fifty levels, and Jarvis had said that all the energy intensities and martial arts techniques inside the virtual Earth network were based on Master Taro's data! That meant…

Master himself had mastered all fifty levels of Muken!

Fifty times the power!

Just thinking about it made Krillin feel suffocated… Too strong! Master was truly too strong!

He had completely and utterly surpassed everyone else in the world!

Goku rubbed the back of his head, wagged his tail, and said with some anticipation, "I really want to learn it… this Muken thing! Hehe!"

"You definitely will. Our basics are about the same now. I think Master will soon agree to let us officially start learning Muken!" Krillin guessed. He had stayed at the first level of Muken for a long time, and having tasted it, he naturally looked forward to the higher, deeper levels!

How many levels could he climb in the Muten Tower now?

Also…

Krillin looked at Goku, his senior fellow disciple who had trained with him on Muten Island for nearly a year… If Goku entered the virtual Earth network and climbed the Muten Tower, he would surely astonish everyone!

"But for now, let's eat! I'm starving!" Goku patted his stomach and flicked his tail as he walked off.

"Hey, Goku, wait for me! I'm hungry too!"

The two senior disciples laughed and chatted as they left.

Just as they stepped outside, a loud, clear cry sounded overhead. Without even looking up, the two knew it was the Phoenix's call… No bird other than that pesky bird could make such a proud and haughty cry!

"Has Master prepared a feast?" Goku's eyes lit up, and his mouth watered.

"Let's go!" Krillin smiled as well. He jumped high on the spot, did a somersault, and landed on the broad back of the Phoenix.

---

The Phoenix flew directly to where Taro, Tsuru, and Hathaway were waiting.

They were at a restaurant far from the city center.

The Nimbus cloud flew away, and Goku jumped down, landing at the restaurant's entrance.

The Phoenix flapped its wide wings, its feathers blazing red like fire, creating a small whirlwind as it descended to the ground. Krillin jumped down from its back and said to Goku, "Hey, Goku, when do you think we'll be able to fly ourselves? When will Master teach us flying techniques?"

"Why wait for Master to teach us?" Goku dashed into the restaurant without looking back. He could sense Taro and Hathaway's energy, so he wasn't worried about finding the private room.

Krillin was taken aback by Goku's words.

Next to him, the Phoenix ruffled its feathers and cast its only magic spell, shrinking its body to the size of a fiery red pigeon. It fluttered mockingly in front of Krillin, then followed Goku, flying into the restaurant.

The Phoenix, as miraculous as the legendary divine bird it was, had already drawn surprised glances from passersby and diners. When it shrank, someone even took out their phone to snap a picture. The Phoenix ignored them all, even seeming a little boastful and cocky… It strutted into the restaurant lobby and then flew up toward a corner on the second floor.

While someone was taking photos, they murmured, "I feel like… I've seen this bird somewhere before…"

Someone nearby reminded them, "You idiot, that's the divine bird of the Muten Roshi!"

That person shivered in shock: "Muten Roshi?! You mean…"

"Tch, just now realizing that? Didn't you see Goku rush in like a gust of wind? Look outside — that little bald guy standing there, isn't that Krillin, Goku's fellow disciple?" The man pointed to the private room at the second-floor corner and chuckled quietly, "The Muten Roshi… he's definitely in that room!"

"Muten Roshi…" The guy taking photos murmured, excitement inevitable. After all, for their generation, the Muten Roshi was a real legend, a living myth. He was the idol and the only god in the hearts of all young martial artists around the world… He hesitated a moment and realized that even knowing the Muten Roshi was here, there was really nothing they could do.

Go crowd around?

Don't be stupid. If the Master didn't avoid us, it meant he respected us. If we clumsily disturbed him, do you believe he could flick you to the North or South Pole with just a finger?

Scratching his head, he looked at the photos and videos on his phone, muttering, "Hmm, better wait until the Master leaves, then post it online… that way it's not disturbing him."

Meanwhile, Krillin was already running up the stairs, quick steps pounding.

"I really envy that little bald guy! He actually got to be the Muten Roshi's disciple…" Someone sighed, watching Krillin's back.

Goku was Gohan's grandson; it was only natural for him to become the Muten Roshi's disciple.

But Krillin, that little bald guy, didn't seem to have any special background, yet he became the Master's apprentice too — that was enviable! This was a dream opportunity that countless martial artists on Earth longed for. If only I could get the Muten Roshi's guidance… Ah, it's so frustrating!

---

Once Krillin entered, he finally saw who the other presences in the room belonged to.

Inside, there was the aura of Master Taro, Mistress Hathaway, the Phoenix, Elder Gohan, Goku, Bulma, Tien, and that short little zombie of his… and another presence — an old man with white hair and a youthful face, sitting opposite Master Taro.

The door was pushed open, and Tsuru glanced over… just one look made Krillin's heart suddenly tremble. Who was this person? That gaze… it was terrifying!

Krillin felt more pressure facing this man than when facing Elder Gohan.

The private room had two tables.

Taro and Tsuru sat facing each other; Goku and Elder Gohan sat on one side; Tien and Chiaotzu on another… As for the other table, since Bulma wasn't familiar with Tien and the others, she pulled her grandmother Hathaway over and added another table, eating warmly and whispering some private things as they ate.
