Indeed, it was the void bastard.
Malik, on his way towards the earth Jinn, had his eyes glued onto that attack directed towards him.
He knew what the bastard called upon.
He felt it even in his current world of void.
This was real, and he wanted nothing to do with it.
So even though it was bad... to say the least, taking away his strongest method of attack, he wasn't going to pause his Devil's Footstep.
Defending against that attack was a bad idea, especially so for a man with his... experience.
Losing the sword wasn't the end, however. Not even close.
He still had his limbs.
BOOM.
As the sonic boom echoed, his feet finally reached the earth-skinned bastard.
Just as he made contact, the Jinn tried to swing at him with his obsidian arms.
But before he could, Malik stomped right up through it, square in the gut.
Crack!
Sent him flying.
And Malik didn't stop there.
