The ruckus from the kids' excitement drew Beth and the other seniors to slowly gather near the run-down entrance of the town.
"Why are you all so noisy?" she called out, frowning.
But it seemed that the kids were far too thrilled to even acknowledge Beth. They simply pointed towards the horizon.
From the edge of the forest, an envoy of carriages seemed to be approaching them, but they looked nothing like the ones they knew.
"Miss Beth! Is that the help that you've been talking about?"
"Ooh! Are they the Heavenly Knights that are going to save us?!"
Their imaginations ran wild, especially since there were no horses pulling the carriages, yet they sped across the land faster than anything they had ever seen before or had ever thought about.
Beth, however, immediately knew that they weren't from the Order. Nor from the Guild of Arcana. Matter of fact, they weren't even from the Queens region at all.
