Suddenly, Hades extends his arms forward and casts a spell. He creates 10 layers of big purple magic circles above the hole. His men immediately retreat in panic when they see the magic circles.
"Amaterasu: Formula 101!"
A massive purple magic explosion happens as the stack of magic circles send a very powerful shockwave into the hole. The impact can be felt from afar and it even throws the Dark Mages away as they run.
"W-what happened, Master? Why did you suddenly make such a big attack?" Kain asks while trying to get up.
"I had a bad feeling and sensed the magic power in that hole is gathering. That lad must be trying to make an attack and I doubt it would be a half-assed attack like the ones he used before. It was most likely similar to the attacks that destroyed the airship's barriers easily, so I took the initiative to attack first. Now I'm sure of it because the impact of my attack gets even bigger. It must be because his spell also exploded along with mine."
Hades is right that a spell is created inside the hole, but it wasn't Alex's spell, it was Bluenote's spell. Alex was using Bluenote as a shield against the Grimoire Heart Mages' attacks.
When they sent a barrage of attacks, Alex took out Bluenote that had been restrained with sealed sand. After Bluenote was dropped and buried in the deep hole, Alex restrained his body with sand and put Shukaku's seal marks on the sand to strengthen it.
Then after taking out the restrained Bluenote, Alex used him as a shield against the barrage of magic attacks that broke his sand shield. But he also wrapped his body with thick sand that was mixed with iron sand to increase his defense.
Then when Azuma almost exploded the roots buried beneath him, Alex put Bluenote on the ground and stepped on him, using him as a shield again. Bluenote didn't scream because Alex wrapped his mouth with sand too, so he couldn't scream even though he wanted to.
When Rustyrose's massive tower appeared, Alex used Bluenote as a shield again although he also still needed to withstand the very heavy tower that was dropped on him and then exploded.
Nevertheless, thanks to Bluenote that acted as a shield, Alex didn't receive much damage. Because of that, his iron sand armor isn't broken too because Shield Bluenote reduced a lot of the damage.
However, the seals and sand that wrapped Bluenote were destroyed by the barrages of attacks. The sand and seals also reduced the damage that Bluenote received, saving him from being killed by his own Guild Mates.
But because the sand and seals were destroyed, Bluenote was freed. His body hurts, but he still could move his arms, so he tried to attack Alex using his spell, Black Hole at point blank.
Too bad for him, Hades mistook his spell as Alex's spell and immediately used that powerful spell that used 10 layers of magic circles because Hades couldn't see Alex as the dust from Rustyrose's attack was still covering Alex's body, so Bluenote was also hidden there.
So once again, Alex used Bluenote as a shield to block Hades's attack. The clash against Bluenote's Black Hole spell was what made the impact of Hades's attack much more powerful. The impact even widens the hole to be as wide as 2 football fields.
Bluenote who doesn't have Alex's sand and seals wrapping his body obviously takes the full impact of that attack. He has been damaged by the previous attacks and now he received one of Hades's strongest spells, so he really is done for.
"Wow, he doesn't die even after receiving that much damage. He really is tenacious. Though I'm sure he'll need a long time to recover." Alex holds the unconscious Bluenote by his left foot in front of him.
Just from outside, Alex can tell that Bluenote must've had some bone fractures and internal injuries. Average Mages' bodies would've been obliterated already, so this really is an impressive feat and Alex is really impressed at Bluenote's tenacity.
Well, it doesn't mean that Alex will just let him go just because he is an impressive Mage. No matter what, Bluenote is still a Dark Mage of Grimoire Heart that has done many atrocities with his Guild Mates.
So Alex dropped him into the ground and wrapped his whole body with sand, including his face and then put Shukaku's seals on the sand to strengthen it. Then he sinks the wrapped Bluenote into the ground, burying the Dark Mage alive very deep under the island.
"Hmm, seems like only using Shukaku's power is not enough, after all."
Alex planned to only use Shukaku's abilities to fight Grimoire Heart. But it doesn't seem possible after seeing their abilities. While Shukaku's defense is great enough to protect himself from their attacks, his attacks aren't fast enough to hit them.
"I can try using large area attacks, but it will consume too much magic power. I need to save as much magic power as possible in case Acnologia really shows up later. Then, let's go physical."
While Alex is planning his next moves, Grimoire Heart Mages are approaching the massive hole to check if Alex still survives that. They all know that the chance is slim, but it's still a chance nonetheless.
But just when they get on the edge of the hole, a bluish white light flashes past them. Loud crashing noises are heard shortly after and when they turn around, they see a long line of trees falling apart.
At the end of that line are Kain and Vidaldus, both unconscious with dented chests. The culprit is standing before the fallen trees, a humanoid bull with 8 tentacle-tails. Alex transforms into his humanoid Gyuki form and his body is now covered with bluish white lightning.
Using Lightning Mode on top of his Humanoid Gyuki form, Alex can move incredibly fast. He jumped out of the hole and used Lariat with 2 arms on Kain and Vidaldus who stood close to each other.
But instead of wrapping his arms around their chests, he used his fists on their chests. So it's more correct to say that he punched them although he used Lariat technique for the move.
His fists are the cause why their chests are dented. Their ribs are broken and the lightning also scorches their skin because lightning is hot. The powerful lightning that ran through their bodies also caused more internal damage.
"Hoh, they sure are tenacious. I was worried my fists would pierce through their chests, making them a pair of donuts like a certain pirate from a certain story, but it seems their bodies are strong enough to withstand it. Or maybe I'm not strong enough to punch through people's chests and make holes in them."
Alex knew he could pierce through their chests if he shaped his hands into spears, imitating 3rd Raikage's Hell Stab. But he finds it more satisfying to punch people instead of stabbing them, so even if it won't kill them, he still prefers using punches.
"2 down.... Oh, that's wrong. 4 down, 6 more to go. Wait, that's also wrong."
Suddenly, Alex disappears from his spot and almost instantly, he already shows up in front of Fukuro. It surprises Fukuro who reflexively tries to fly away with his jetpack away. He can't react to Alex's speed even though he has a speed-based magic.
Fukuro tries to get away with his very fast jetpack, but Alex's lightning punches have been launched. His lightning punches are faster than Fukuro's jetpack. Alex sends a barrage of really fast and powerful punches.
His punches are so fast that his arms just look like flashes of light because of his glowing lightning. He finishes 18 punches in a second thanks to the lightning that enhances his speed. The 18 punches land on Fukuro's body and send him flying past the massive hole onto the coast.
Those punches also break his ribs and internal organs. Alex uses more punches on Fukuro because Fukuro has a big and sturdy body, so just 1 punch might not be enough. He also wants to test how fast his punches are in Humanoid Gyuki's Lightning Mode now.
"Good, I can move like usual, so there's no problem even after receiving all those attacks. So now this means 5 are down, 5 more to go, right?"
Alex grins while looking at the remaining Grimoire Heart Mages. Their whole squad has almost been wiped out completely, leaving only 5 of them. It's really unbelievable that their opponent is just 1 person, but this shows how strong this person is.
