Only Hades is left to face Alex now after Alex takes down Ikaruga. Alex is looking at Hades with a big grin on his face, still in his Humanoid Gyuki form with lightning covering his whole body.
"You are the only one left now. So will you surrender or keep fighting? I'd prefer you just surrender, but it doesn't matter to me if you want to get beaten so badly you know."
Alex grins sinisterly while walking slowly toward Hades. Now he actually looks more like the villain going after an elderly person even though he should be the hero in this situation because he is fighting a dangerous Dark Guild alone.
Hades grits his teeth angrily before removing his eye patch. He opens his closed eye to reveal a glowing red eyeball. As soon as he does it, Hades's magic power spikes up and his hair also stands up as if he is a Super Saiyan.
"Ho, so that's the Devil's Eye." The power-up really intrigues Alex, but he isn't surprised by it. Instead, he's actually wondering why Hades hasn't removed his eye patch until now.
Alex doesn't realize that it was because everything went too fast that Hades didn't even have time to reveal his true power. Also, Hades's Devil's Eye is connected to a big magic item called Devil's Heart that's placed in the airship.
It was like the generator that supplies a lot of magic power to him. But it was also used to control the ship. When Alex attacked the ship, Hades was forced to use a lot of the stored magic power to create many powerful barriers to protect the airship, so he became quite low on magic power.
Even so, he still has a lot of magic power. His Devil's Heart also has collected a lot of magic power from the atmosphere since their airship landed here. He was collecting magic power, that's why he didn't reveal his Devil's Eye yet.
After revealing his Devil's Eye, Hades spreads his arm. The area around him is covered with black aura that feels very ominous. This aura even makes Alex flinch, but this aura also feels quite familiar.
"This is.... similar to the aura I felt from Zeref and Etherious Demons. I see, Black Magic, huh?"
Just as Alex says, this is Black Magic that turns objects into living beings. It's similar to the one Zeref used to create Etherious Demons, albeit at a much lower level because unlike the Etherious Demons that truly become living beings that can live on their own, the creatures that Hades make will only exist when he supplies magic power to them.
The broken rocks and trees turn into monsters when Hades uses his Black Magic. Hundreds of monsters are created in an instant. Hades commands them to attack Alex and they rush while roaring ferociously.
But different from what Hades expected, Alex doesn't fight the monsters. He just charges through the swarm of monsters toward Hades. The monsters that Alex uses as footholds get their bodies destroyed by his powerful steps that are coated with lightning.
"Do you think I will uselessly fight them when I can just attack you like this?" Alex grins when he arrives in front of Hades with his punch ready. He sends his punch but surprisingly, Hades suddenly shouts.
"HA!" To Alex's surprise, Hades's shout creates a powerful shockwave that's strong enough to stop his punch. The impact of their clash is so powerful that their surroundings are destroyed. Even Hades's monsters are destroyed while both of them are pushed back.
"Heh, now I can see why you are their Guild Master. Should I say as expected of one of Fairy Tail's founders? Well, it doesn't really matter who you were in the past. The fact that you are a vicious Dark Mage now is enough for me to kill you. Wait, it will sound more righteous if I say this is my responsibility as a member of Fairy Tail to stop our former Guild Master who has strayed to the wrong path and done many sins. Yeah, let's go with that setting."
Alex's taunt actually works even against Hades, a very experienced Mage. Dark Mages usually have short fuses and get easily taunted, including Hades. They aren't used to holding back their anger unlike Legal Mages who have rules to follow, after all.
"Insolent brat! I'll make sure to erase your existence completely so that there will be nothing left of you." Hades says it with a low growling angry voice.
Suddenly, Hades releases a great amount of magic power. It's not enough to overwhelm someone at Alex's level, but it's enough to tell Alex that Hades is about to use a very powerful magic spell.
"As if I'll let you." Alex charges at Hades again to attack before Hades finishes preparing his spell.
Powerful spells usually need time to prepare, so it can be a good chance to strike before Hades finishes preparing his spell. However, Hades finishes very quickly, and worse, he finishes right when Alex arrives right in front of him.
"KATSU!" Hades suddenly shouts as Alex's punch is flying toward him.
Alex's punch suddenly comes to a halt and Alex also stops right in front of Hades. He can't help but stop because he suddenly feels his magic power is in turmoil. It's like his magic power is running rampant inside his body.
Hades grins and laughs loudly while looking at Alex's body that seems to bloat up a bit. But his laugh doesn't last long because suddenly Alex's left fist is planted in his stomach. He is sent flying to some trees behind him, destroying a few of them.
"KUGH! H-how do you resist it so fast? Even for Wizard Saints, it should take more time to control and weaker Mages would have their bodies exploded from the rampaging magic power." Hades looks at Alex in disbelief.
"..... Why are you explaining its effect like a 3rd rate anime villain? Well, I don't want to be a 3rd rate protagonist, so I won't explain anything."
Just as Hades said, the rampaging magic power could lead to the Mages' bodies exploding, if they can't control their rampaging magic power. Hades triggers the magic power in his opponents' bodies to run rampant through Sound Magic.
High-level Mages can resist it because they have great control over their magic power, so they can stop the rampaging magic power. Low level Mages who can't control it will meet their doom because every cell of their bodies will explode.
But even high-level Mages will need considerable effort to stop the rampaging magic power. Hades knew it wouldn't work on Alex, so he planned to use the time Alex needed to control the magic power to attack him with his strongest spells.
However, Alex actually managed to calm his rampaging magic power very quickly. It's because he has a very high-level magic control. Also, he has 9 great entities helping him control his rampaging magic power.
Alex quickly tries to finish this battle and charges at Hades. His left punch just now wasn't that strong because he still hasn't fully calmed his magic power. So while it was strong, it couldn't damage Hades that much, proved by how Hades can stand up rather easily after crashing onto trees.
Hades creates a magic circle in front of him that immediately sends a powerful shockwave toward Alex. It's affecting a very wide area, so Alex won't be able to dodge it even with his current speed because the shockwave can spread faster than his running speed.
He is hit by the shockwave blast that stops him in his tracks. Hades quickly moves to gain more distance because he knows it won't defeat Alex. He is retreating while preparing for his next attack that will be much stronger than this one.
The effect of his spell disappears soon and while Hades tries to locate Alex, a bright bluish light suddenly flashes toward him. He quickly activates the 5 layer magic circles he has prepared in front of him and shoots a much more powerful shockwave blast.
Hades's attack clashes with Alex's attack that actually is a big lighting beam. He and Gyuki were working together to make this attack by copying Laxus's Lightning Dragon Roar. It's not as strong as the Tailed Beast Heavy Cannon, which is a beam created from Tailed Beast Bomb that explodes in the mouth.
Even so, it's still a very powerful attack and its activation time is faster than Tailed Beast Heavy Cannon or even Tailed Beast Bomb. It counters Hades's powerful shockwave blast and they cancel each other.
Hades's eyes widen in surprise and they get even wider when Alex suddenly shows up in front of him. Alex doesn't waste time and immediately rushes to attack Hades. He grabs Hades's legs with a tail before sending a barrage of punches at Hades's body.
Alex ends it with a powerful straight punch at Hades's face, knocking out the old man after battling for a while. He finally finishes defeating all Grimoire Heart members, but there are still a few things to do.
