"Asia!" I stammered, my face burning as her arms stayed locked around me. She giggled, her cheeks tinged with a soft pink.

"Well, Koneko said she'd share," Asia teased, her voice light and playful.

"Please—get off me!" I managed, trying to squirm free without making it worse.

She pouted, her lips puffing out adorably, a faint blush still dusting her face. "Why? You're so soft!"

'Oh man, if you don't get up soon, I'm not gonna stay soft.' I swallowed hard, forcing a laugh. "It's just—I've gotta go see the Sirzechs."

Asia's pout deepened, but she relented with a dramatic huff. "Fine." She slid off me, and I scrambled to my feet, brushing myself off as she crossed her arms, still sulking.

I bolted to my room, needing a second to cool off. Once inside, I fished my phone from my pocket and dialed the number Sirzechs had given me. It barely rang once before his smooth voice came through.

"Hello?" Sirzechs said, calm and collected as always.

"Hey, uh, Sirzechs? I need your help," I said, pacing a little.

"Oh, Shiro! What's up?" His tone brightened, like he'd been expecting me.

"I need a big house—like, big enough for my peerage to live in."

He chuckled, low and knowing. "Ah, I figured that's what this was about. Good news—I've already got a team on it. They should be finishing up as we speak. I was planning to hook you up with one anyway."

I blinked, caught off guard. "Wait, what? Seriously?!"

"Yep," he said, amusement creeping into his voice. "You've basically got a harem going, Shiro. I thought you'd need plenty of space—y'know, room to run and hide when your girlfriends get mad."

I groaned, rubbing the back of my neck. "Is it bad that I was thinking the exact same thing?"

"Not at all," he laughed. "If there's one thing you need to know, it's this: hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

"Trust me, I learn that lesson every damn day," I muttered.

"Anyway," Sirzechs said, "I'll swing by in about an hour to show you the place. Sound good?"

"Yeah, perfect. See you then."

"Bye," he said, and the line clicked off.

I tossed the phone onto my bed and sank into my chair, letting out a long breath. Curious, I pulled up my inventory, scrolling through the glowing list until something caught my eye: Skill Books. My pulse quickened as I tapped it open.

A prompt flashed: Would you like to learn these? Yes/No

I grinned, my mind racing. Hell yes. I'd watched too much anime to pass this up—plus, I had a ton of crazy ideas to test out. I mentally hit Yes, and a warm rush tingled through me as the knowledge sank in. Then another thought hit me.

"Hey, Frost!" I called out.

A second later, her head poked through the doorway, her icy blue eyes narrowing at me. "Sup?"

"Mind helping me with something?" I asked, leaning forward in my chair.

She stepped fully into the room, arms crossed. "Sure. What's up?"

I smirked, feeling a little ridiculous but too curious to care. "I want you to hit me."

Frost blinked, then tilted her head, sizing me up. "What, you into pain or something?"

"No!" I laughed, waving her off. "I've got this spell I made—it's supposed to cut all the damage I take in half. I need to test it."

She sighed, long and dramatic, like I'd just asked her to clean the whole house. "Fine. But if you end up crying, I'm not responsible."

"Deal," I said, standing up and bracing myself. "Let's do this."

….

A string of notifications blared in my head, each one stacking on the last like a victory chant: Body Armor has leveled up! Body Armor has leveled up! Body Armor has leveled up! It kept going, a relentless ping-pong of alerts until it finally stopped. I glanced at the stats:

Body Armor Level: 43/100

"Ow," I groaned, rubbing my side where Frost's punch had landed. My ribs ached, but the spell had worked—barely.

Frost smirked, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed. "I warned you."

I fumbled in my inventory, pulling out a couple of health potions. The glass vials glinted as I popped the caps and chugged them down, the sharp sting in my side melting away. "All better," I said, flashing a grin.

Frost's jaw dropped, her eyes narrowing. "Hacks! I'm calling hacks!"

"Oh, don't worry about it," I teased, waving her off. She huffed, pouting as she stormed out of the room, her footsteps echoing down the hall.

Before I could relax, a red magic circle flared to life on my floor, swirling with energy. Sirzechs stepped out, his usual regal vibe dialed down but still unmistakable. "Hello, Shiro," he said, giving me a casual nod.

"Yo," I shot back, leaning back in my chair.

He reached into his coat and pulled out a slim, leather-bound book, tossing it my way. "Brought you something. It's a guide on crafting teleportation spells. Keep it."

I caught it mid-air, flipping it open to skim the pages. "Nice. Thanks!"

"No problem," he said with a shrug. "Figured you'd get some use out of it."

"So, we teleporting to the house?" I asked, setting the book on my desk.

Sirzechs scratched the back of his neck, looking sheepish. "Nah, we're walking."

I raised an eyebrow, waiting for the catch.

"Let's just say I ticked off a certain maid," he admitted, sighing. "She's cooling off, and I'm giving her space."

I nodded slowly. "Yeah, that tracks."

"I didn't think it'd be a big deal," he muttered, almost to himself.

"What'd you do?" I asked, leaning forward, curiosity piqued.

He hesitated, eyeing me like he wasn't sure I could handle it. "I don't know if I should get into this with you."

I snorted, crossing my arms. "Dude, I've got a growing harem—two of 'em I've already, uh, sealed the deal with. I think I can handle whatever you've got."

Sirzechs let out a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Fine. Here's some advice: if a woman ever asks if something makes her butt look big, just say no. Every time."

I stared at him, deadpan. "You still haven't figured that out?"

"I try to be honest in my relationship!" he said, throwing his hands up. "You know, keep things real."

"Yeah, good luck with that," I said, smirking. "Honesty's great 'til it lands you in the doghouse."

He sighed again, deeper this time. "Anyway, let's get moving. I called the team working on your house—they just finished."

We turned to head out, but I stopped short, glancing at his flowing coat and polished boots. "Uh, you need human clothes, man. You're gonna stick out like a sore thumb."

"Oh, right," he said, snapping his fingers. In a flash, the fancy getup swapped for a plain t-shirt and jeans. He looked… surprisingly normal.

I tilted my head, sizing him up. "Is it bad that you kinda look feminine like that?"

Sirzechs grinned, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Hello, pot. Name's kettle. Have we met?"

"Ha!" I barked out a laugh, pointing at him. "I'm stealing that line."

He chuckled, and we headed out the door, the promise of a new house—and maybe some chaos—waiting ahead.
