Leo shook his head. "Why deceive yourself? Rachel, you've always loved Kingsly, haven't you?"
Rachel stood up and walked to the café's floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the bustling street outside, and said quietly, "I won't pretend that I've completely let go of the man I've loved for over a decade, but sometimes, reason is more important than emotion."
Leo walked over to her side, looking at her intently. "I know Kingsly has caused you a lot of pain in the past, but I hope you can consider his perspective... Kingsly managed to survive that car accident years ago solely because of his will for revenge, but can you say he's a bad person just because he has a vengeful spirit? Who in this world can stand by and watch their parents be harmed without doing anything?"
Rachel's somber gaze met Leo's. "With his capabilities, he had countless ways to find the culprits behind his family's harm, but he chose this one."
"But have you ever thought about why he chose to use you?"
