[ Chapter VII (7): "SURPRISE FIRST THING IN THE MORNING" ]

[ "Have you lost your mind?" ] John Constantine with his ruffled hair, still asleep demeanor and half lid eyes couldn't help but question his classmate and friend— Jo Mullein which is dragging him by hand, to the Great Hall. [ "Yeah, have you!" ]

Right behind him are Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff Students that was pulled out of bed by their classmates to go see the Great Hall also, an event that seemingly needs all of them for it to officially start. [ "Perhaps..." ]

An event that none of them knows, but a few had went to Clay City and noticed a Ghost Golem... One that they had created a week prior, alive. And with the date today, they couldn't help but squeal in joy. Halloween, there's an event relating to Halloween happening at the moment.

They are sure of that at the very least, and they want for it to start as quickly as possible, even dragging their fellow housemates to the Great Hall without care.

It is a Friday, they have class starting in 9:00AM, Potions which John Constantine loves and excels in. But he couldn't help but forrow his brows as he remembers the time today, about 7:15AM, a full hour and 3/4ths before class... So why is he being forced awake in this ungodly hour?

His other classmates seems to be asking the same thing, as he could swear seeing one Hufflepuff still carrying his pillow, still in pajama, being led by his housemates through the corridor. [ "This is madness, Jo. Can you even hear me?" ]

[ "I-I know this might sound weird, but trust me on this one." ] Hearing this he couldn't help but snort, as he continues walking. Unbeknownst to him, the proponent and instigator of what's happening, about this mass awakening of their fellow classmates, is due to her.

She is the first one to wake up and realize the problem with the Great Hall. She investigated and realized the problem— a Ghost Golem she witnessed Kiran created, was took by the Professor, now is inside Clay City, apparently imprisoned. Talking to the residence, she was able to piece in the clues together and have a full understanding on what exactly is going on.

From what the Knights, Wizards, and Free People said to her. She ultimately knows everything that is going on, she is sure of it. As she quickly scribbles something to her diary, before then grouping up with her already awake classmates, which led to this scenario that is happening. [ "Whatever you say, weird lady." ]

Grumbling something under his breath, John and his other classmates— about 32 of them exactly followed suit, to the lovely Great Hall, with them quickly realizing that it is in fact... Very much closed, the first time they had seen it close; a rare sight.

You see, the Great Hall since they arrived in Hogwarts has always been open. But now, in seeing it close, they are somewhat understanding what exactly is going on and why their classmates is really excited; at first they didn't believe them, but now in seeing it first-hand, they do, fully...

[ "Just use the Blasting Charm." ] Except John Constantine who thinks someone just closed the heavy set of door, he believes that a Blasting Charm could fix the problem. If not, then just Transfigurate a battering ram and ram it down... Something-something he would have definitely done if left unsupervised, sadly he is supervised.

In the form of Jo Mullein, the rule loving Witch of Hogwarts. Most of the time Slytherin genius, part-time fashion diva, and someone that has memorized the Hogwarts Rules given by the Professor. Just fantastic!

John thought sarcastically, before then hitting an unsuspecting wall that he didn't notice due to him being in a daze, causing a loud thump to alert the other Students to his predicament, as some of them laugh to his dismay. [ "You all didn't see a thing." ]

[ "Sure-sure we didn't." ] Jo snorted, not caring about the look John is giving her. As she then began counting each and every single one of her classmates. Then confirming that they are just one Student short— who? She has no idea...

About to check her diary for who it is, she then stopped when she heard someone yelling in the corridor where they emerged from. After some time, a said Hufflepuff appeared from there

A Hufflepuff that apparently just sidetracked and accidentally went the wrong way. In how that happened, she doesn't know, have no idea, doesn't want to know. [ "Okay, all 44 here, next would be..." ]

Knocking on the Great Hall. She glanced behind her, wanting for someone to do it, but no one stepped up. No one did, as they all stared at her with hope in their eyes.

[ "Fine." ] Grumbling to herself, she was about to knock on the gigantic doors of the Great Hall, if that didn't work, then push it open, if not, then kick it forcefully or use a spell to do so. There is a Constantine amongst them, he could do the dirty work.

Then take the blame also if she's lucky, but nonetheless, before she could even hold the knockers on the door. She paused, as the door itself slowly opened for them... [ "Huh, what's this?" ]

She glanced on the floor and could notice thick miasma leaking out from inside to the outside, covering their shoes with it. Under their confused gaze, the door continued to open, as more miasma came out.

Before ultimately it stopped opening, the door fully opened this time as all of them 44 watches the Great Hall in both horror and curiosity, more so the latter as they look at one another, signalling for each other to go inside first; as none of them wants to go inside themselves, in fear.

[ "You go." ]

[ "Nuh huh." ]

[ "I really think we all should go in, all of us, Wands out. Yeah?" ]

All of them agreed to that single fact, as all of them... Except for 3 Students pulled out their Wands, raising it in the air— the reason why the 3 didn't pull their Wands, is plainly because they forgot about it in their rooms. Due to getting pulled and such.

Nonetheless, they still entered the Great Hall which is filled with miasma, huddled together with the group of Wizards and Witches for protection. [ "I can't see a thing!" ]

The sheer amount of miasma inside the once joyful Great Hall was evident, causing them to not see a thing at all, except for what's in front of them. As they constantly accidentally step on one another shoes and feets, [ "Stop stepping on my foot!" ]

[ "Fine, fine... Wait, that ain't me." ] As they constantly bicker at one another, even casting the Lumos spell didn't do a thing at all to increase their vision. [ "That's me, I'm sorry Ralph." ]

As a last resort, Jo who is in front pointed her Wand, and casted a spell; a harmful one, but also bright, which caused the others to see something at the very least, [ "Is that a Castle...?" ]

[ "No, that was Witch Hut, I was sure of it." ]

[ "No, it was a grassfield, you guys can't see properly can you?" ]

[ "Duh!" ] In annoyance, some of them shot spell left in right, as different colors of lights lit up parts of the Great Hall. And the more they did, the more their guess are answered; there are indeed structures here, foreign and things they haven't seen before.

Subconsciously being attracted to it, the young group of 13-year-olds split up amongst themselves, forming into smaller groups, as some went to the left, to the middle, and to the right.

The group on the left which includes Kiran Singh couldn't help but admire the small castle in front, miniature, gothic architecture as she then peeks inside through the top which is open...

[ "This is..." ] Looking inside, she could see a monster, grotesque, grey in color but somewhat green in others. Taller than the average Golems, as it then wakes up seconds later; seemingly reactive of the eyeballs that is seeing it.

Electricity ran inwards to the thing's body, electricity coming from the cables and tesla coils surrounding the laboratory which the monster— seemingly a Golem, is placed into. Seeing this, one of her classmates yelled out, in recognition of the monster.

[ "Frankenstein!" ] To be more precise, in the original text it is Frankenstein's Monster; it originally not having a name, but due to miscommunication and adaption, he is now somewhat known as Frankenstein also; which shouldn't be, as the doctor is really the Frankenstein— Victor Frankenstein.

In saying Frankenstein, the kid isn't wrong, but also not technically right. As the Golem then sprangs to life, looking confused at the gigantic Students staring down at it; as it then waves at them, friendly, mumbling something to itself, trying to communicate.

[ "Hey, isn't that one of ours?" ] The Students, an assortment from different houses could be seen looking at it also in curiosity, some of them recognizing it from the last Alchemy Class, created by one of their classmates— Hugo. Which is sadly not within their group, as he is in another.

[ "G-ghost!" ]

[ "B-bats!" ]

[ "Oh sh- spiders!" ]

On the other hand, the other groups of Students aren't having a great time unlike the group of Kiran, as multiple voices from other Students rang in the Great Hall. Then being followed suit by spells, charms, and curses being shot at in multiple directions.

Occasionally hitting one another on account of friendly fire, [ "Who hit me!" ] As some students at the moment is floating, [ "I-I'm not a ghost!" ] As some students then gets frozen solid, [ "Seize fire, men!" ] And the rest seemingly hiding under the tables.

As pandemonium ensues on each corner of the Great Hall, either from the monsters or from the Students own doing, the lines gets blurred, as no one knows which-is-which. Definitely not John who's actively shooting charms left-and-right without care, [ "A-ahh, there's a giant man-bat, shoot it!" ]

Occasionally screaming, but in a bland manner that if one we're to listen carefully, then they would be able to hear the giggle in his voice, as he enjoys this. Spitting out lies, as to give himself justification to mess around with others, [ "John, stop it!" ]

Only Jo could hear the giggle and fakeness in his voice, as she shot up from where she is, before then shooting a Petrifying Charm to her friend; as he then gets frozen stiff, landing face first on the ground with a thud.

[ "Totally... worth... it." ] He mumbles to himself, as the fighting around slowly subsidies. The miasma all-around also lessening, as about 1/3rd of it exits the Great Hall and into the corridors, causing them to see what's going on all-around enough, to at the very least stop fighting.

[ "Stop, fighting!" ]

[ "Did someone said fight!?" ]

Buddy's voice, definitely— the Gryffindor that was previously hiding under the tables, now sprang back to life. Wand in hand, ready to start blasting at any person that wants a taste of his ability; [ "I said, stop!" ]

But in hearing that, he instantly because saddened, reluctantly lowering his Wand before mumbling something about, it not being fair to him, or something in the middle of that. [ "Fine..." ]

All of them stopped fighting, some reluctantly. Before then standing up from where they we're hiding, lowering their Wands in doing so. Except one Student that seemingly gets jump scared by a Ghost; in response shooting at it, [ "A-ahhh Ghost!" ]

The spell shooting pass the corporal yet physical body of the small sheeth Ghost that wanted to say hi. In seeing this, the other students also realized that this place is filled with monsters, as they admire the scenery. [ "I-I have phobia to spiders!" ] Seemingly more so compared to others
