Where do i begin?
I guess all stories start at the gebinning, But i barely remember mine- barely remember my home realm. All i have are splinters of memories- bright and warm. But what i do remember is the great evil that overpowerd us. The warriors and heroes meant to protect my world, ended up being its demise. And then it was gone- as was my faith in heroes and goodness.
I found other worlds like mine, with foolish prideful heroes, blinded by righteousness... But when good rises so does evil. That's just the balance of things.
But i couldn't leave these worlds to their own demise. These so-called heroes would fail. A stronger evil always remains... So i became that stronger evil! To snuff out the flame before the whole thing catches fire.
What better way to protect these worlds? What better way to protect the balance?
But i couldn't watch every realm on my own.
I only have two eyes...or so i did.
To act as my eyes and ears, i produced clones of myself. Bending the timelines to my will and adding versions of myself wherever i deemed necessary. To befriend these reckless protagonists and to learn their strengths and weaknesses.
Would they be strong enough? I doubt it... But i'm in no rush. for now i'll watch how things play out as fate designed, and if needed i...we'll be there to reset the balance. And so... my work begins.
Sometimes... When the nights of my reign feel too long. I think back... To my beginning. I think of how peaceful it was back then. How stupidly happy i was. And how i wasn't alone. No, i had my Valkyrie sisters. I cannot forget the weight of the sword in my hand, content to train and laugh all my days away.
