Chapter 10 - Chaper 10

While asleep, Randy started to dream. He dreamed about what had happened in the past, which led to what was happening in the present. He remembered his father saving him from almost being killed and then taking him to the top of Werewolf Rock so that they could look at the full moon by the cliffside. Hunter then came, and his father fell off the side while Hunter survived. Randy shouted, "DAD!" Randy then lost the moonstone ring to Hunter, but he and Eliza retrieved it, and now Hunter is chasing them with the clues he has.

The next morning, Randy woke up, saying, "Hunter, Hunter." Ace said, "Who's Hunter?" Once Randy woke up, he saw Ace on his belly, smiling. Randy said, "What?" Ace said, "Do you know you talk in your sleep? You were going 'Hunter, Hunter'." Eliza listened in when she heard Ace ask Randy about his dream. Randy rubbed the back of his neck and said, "Oh, well, he's a human. His name's 'Hunter Reed' and he's a werewolf hunter." Ace said, "Then why was he in your dream?" Hunter said, "Well, before we met you, Eliza and I got even with him by stealing my dad's ring back."

Randy showed Ace the ring, and Ace saw it glowing as bright as moonlight. Ace said, "Why'd you do that?" Randy said, "I'm the one responsible for losing it to him, and I didn't just lose the ring three years ago, I also lost my father when Hunter killed him on Werewolf Rock." Eliza walked up to Randy and said, "What were you and your dad doing up there three years ago?" Randy said, "Um, we just wanted to see the full moon, and my dad wanted to take a detour that I might like on our way home. That was in my dream, too. It was just an unforgettable night. Don't think going up to Werewolf Rick wasn't fun, though." Eliza said, "Then what do you say we jump off and go up there ourselves?" Randy then remembered what happened in his dream and said, "Maybe we shouldn't." Eliza said, "Don't tell me you're scared." Randy said, "Me? Scared? Of course not. It's just..." Eliza said, "What?"

Randy said, "Well, I guess it was only a dream. But I think my dream was telling me Hunter is tailing us, and if we go up to Werewolf Rock, I think he'll be waiting for us." Eliza said, "Ok, then we'll let Ace decide. Ace, are you willing to go to Werewolf Rock, or are you too scared of the werewolves up there, or think we should listen to Randy's dream and stay away?" Ace said, "Well, Randy did say it's fun and a detour on the way to his house. I say we go." Randy was concerned and said, "Well, it's on the way to my place, but what about the park, as I promised?" Eliza said, "We'll look for the park today, and one way or another, we'll go to Werewolf Rock tonight."

While Randy, Eliza, and Ace were talking, Anna went to where she saw Randy's footprints and located them. Once she did, she saw two other sets of footprints with Randy's. Anna said, "Looks like Randy is with two other dogs, but they just disappeared. Then a car drove by, and Anna got a picture of what happened." Anna then went home, got into her limo, and instructed her driver to take her to the location where she had seen Randy's footprints. They then drove through a tunnel, and Mrs. Wolf spotted a few knocked-open carriers. Mrs. Wolf said, "Stop the car." The driver stopped the car, and Anna got out. Then she picked up one of the carriers and saw that the lock was busted by an animal with sharp claws. Anna said, "Looks like Randy must have picked the lock on this carrier with his claws." Anna then spotted drips of purple hair dye leading to a busted mirror. Anna pointed in the direction of the clues and said, "Randy must have gone this way." Anna got back in her limo and told the driver to follow the drips of hair dye and pieces of broken glass.

Meanwhile, Hunter was analyzing the hair he picked off of Max with his DNA scanner. When the DNA analysis was complete, Hunter's screen showed him that the hair he plucked was werewolf hair, meaning Max is a werewolf. Hunter said, "So, it's true. Max Wolf is a werewolf. And I bet that dog is too, since it had the Wolf family insignia on its watch, and dogs don't wear watches, but humans do. And my analysis of him said he was part boy, dog, and wolf, so I bet they're related. If only there were a nearby place where I could find them. Because it might take me days to reach Wolf Manor, oh, wait, there is. Werewolf Rock. The place where I saw that boy get eaten and that one werewolf fall to his death." Hunter then headed up to Werewolf Rock and was expecting to see a werewolf up there.

Meanwhile, Randy, Eliza, and Ace were still trying to find the park while riding the back of a truck. Then a wind picked up, and it started to rain. Randy said, "We've got to get off this truck." Ace said, "But where are we going to go?" Eliza looked around and saw the old abandoned house where she and the other dogs hung out. The truck then stopped, so they all jumped off, and Randy didn't hurt his bruised leg in the process. Eliza said, "Are you ok, Randy?" Randy said, "Just fine." Eliza said, "Ok, grab Ace and follow me. I think I know where we can stay until this storm blows over." Randy grabbed Ace with his mouth and carried him to their destination. Eliza led them to an old abandoned house and walked in through the doggie door.

Once they got in, Randy looked all around and saw dogs galore resting in the place. Randy set Ace down and said, "What are all these dogs doing here?" Eliza said, "This is like our safehouse. As long as we're here, we're safe from werewolves, storms, animal control officers, and everything else that could put us in danger." Daisy, a collie, saw Randy and thought his purple fur looked nice. Daisy walked up to Randy and said, "Hi, handsome." Randy looked at Daisy and said, "Hi." Daisy said, "Your fur is nice. I've never seen a dog with purple fur before." Randy said, "Thanks. But I'm only like this because I got into some hair dye. My fur used to be black." Daisy said, "Well, I love purple. It's my favorite color." Randy smiled and said, "Thanks." Randy looked across the room and saw Eliza heading up the stairs. Randy said, "Excuse me."

Randy followed Eliza up the stairs and found her lying with another golden retriever. Randy walked up to Eliza and said, "Sorry that this storm ruined our chances of going up to Werewolf Rock." Eliza said, "It's not your fault." Michael, a Labrador, said, "Why would you want to go there anyway? That place is full of werewolves. It even has werewolf in its name." Randy pointed at Eliza and said, "It was Eliza's idea. I dreamed of the place last night and tried to convince her it would be a bad idea, because some werewolf hunter we stole from would follow us up there. I bet he's up there as we speak." Eliza said, "Then it's a good thing we're here."

Meanwhile, Hunter was taking shelter from the storm in his truck, while Mrs. Wolf was stuck in a traffic jam due to the storm. The wolf family was growing concerned about Mrs. Wolf, as she had gone out in her limousine and never returned home afterward. Since they figured this storm might put people in danger, the werewolves transformed into their werewolf forms when night fell and began searching for people to help. The werewolves saw the lightning from the storm set a building on fire, so they hurried inside and got the people out before the building collapsed. They also rescued a few cars from a flooded road and then blocked it off to prevent any more cars from getting stuck. The werewolves then looked around the city and saw that the storm had knocked out the power all over the city. The werewolves headed for the power plant and saw that the storm had flooded it, which shorted out the generator, blowing the city's power supply. That was one problem they could not help with until the streets unflooded, so they headed back home. On their way there, they tried to see if there was anyone else who needed help, but it seemed they had done all they could for tonight. Once they got home, the sun rose, and it changed them back into their human forms. They then went to bed, having stayed up all night, and decided to get some rest.
