Ivy River heard this retort and couldn't help but laugh.
Suddenly intrigued, she nodded and gestured for her to continue.
Isla thought she had placated Ivy River and happily continued, "Yeah, women understand women the best. Since he's so beastly, how could I be involved with him?"
"So I suspect that this kidnapping of you and me was just to use us to extort money. Then once they got yours, they would take me away to finish what they couldn't complete years ago."

Ivy River couldn't help but clap as she asked.
Isla was a bit baffled, "Did I finish speaking? What's all this about finishing? What else do you want to ask? I've explained the phone thing clearly."
