Dormammu let out a sinister laugh as he watched the Ancient One growing visibly strained. "Struggle all you want, cry out in despair—it's all meaningless. Once I destroy you, I will consume your world."
A surge of violet-hued dark energy swept across the battlefield, shattering the mirror dimension the Ancient One had constructed. Like fragile glass, it splintered into countless shards, forcing her to retreat into the material realm.
Meanwhile, Mephisto, locked in battle with Garus, sneered as he unleashed a psychic interference wave. "I believe we can come to an arrangement. Hand over the Infinity Stones, and perhaps we'll spare a portion of humanity. Ah, pardon me—I meant your friends."
Demons were never to be trusted, especially the Lord of Hell himself. Garus, utterly immune to mental manipulation, answered with a Blood Strike. The impact of his blade against Mephisto's armor sent a violent shock through the demon's body, making his infernal blood boil.
Not far from the battlefield, a warship carrying Earth's greatest heroes arrived near Titan, descending toward the war-torn surface.
Garus felt his sword tremble in his grip—a sign. Looking up, his keen eyesight spotted a Kree warship hovering overhead. That meant Doctor Strange was aboard... and with him, the Time Stone.
Through their psychic link, Garus sent a command to Blonsky, who was still on the ship. "Retrieve the Eye of Agamotto from Strange and bring it to me."
One by one, the superheroes leaped from the warship, landing on a relatively intact stretch of ground.
"The Avengers, deal with Thanos. The sorcerers of the Order and the Inhumans—hold off Dormammu. Everyone else, with me! We reinforce Garus," Wanda ordered.
"Sounds like a plan," someone confirmed, and the heroes split into their designated groups.
Their arrival gave Ulysses and the Ancient One a much-needed reprieve.
"Garus, you need the Time Stone?" A portal lined with golden sparks appeared beside him, and Doctor Strange stepped through.
"Yes."
Garus drove Frostmourne into the ground with force. The antimagic field, amplified by multiple Infinity Stones, expanded rapidly. Green-etched runes flowed across the surface, temporarily holding back Mephisto's hellfire.
Without hesitation, Stephen Strange unclasped the Eye of Agamotto from around his neck. "Use it to drive them back, but return it when you're done."
Return it? Garus smirked internally. Let's deal with the battle first.
Opening the amulet's casing, Strange removed the glowing green gem within and handed it over.
The moment Garus embedded the final Infinity Stone into Frostmourne, the sword pulsed with a thrilling surge of energy. A shockwave of power erupted from the blade, sweeping across the battlefield.
Mephisto, having just breached the antimagic field, was flung backward by the wave's force.
"You've gathered all six stones?!"
Thanos, in the middle of combat, froze for a fraction of a second—long enough for Thor to seize the opportunity. Lightning surged through the God of Thunder's body as he swung Mjolnir, striking Thanos square in the chest.
Blinding arcs of electricity enveloped the Mad Titan.
Taking advantage of the opening, Ulysses grew to massive proportions and delivered a devastating punch, sending Thanos crashing into the rocky terrain. The impact left deep fissures in the ground.
"RAAAH!" Thanos bellowed in fury—only for Drax to land blow after blow, pummeling him relentlessly.
"Ha! Thanos, you murdering bastard!" Drax roared. "This is for my wife and daughter!"
Steve Rogers hurled his vibranium shield, cutting off Drax mid-assault. "Enough. We restrain him first—then we assist Garus!"
"I'll handle Thanos," Tony Stark said, activating his suit's command interface. "Friday, deploy the Containment Armor."
From orbit, a satellite released a series of modular armor components, which hurtled down and assembled around Thanos, layer by layer, restraining him completely.
"Pathetic," Dormammu scoffed.
With Thanos subdued and more enemies converging, the Dark Lord of the Dark Dimension no longer bothered avoiding the sorcerer's attacks. Instead, he allowed their spells to strike his colossal form while an ominous violet expanse began expanding behind him—his presence was consuming reality itself.
"He's devouring this world!" the sorcerers of the Order cried out. They conjured golden bindings of energy, weaving them into enchanted chains in an attempt to restrain Dormammu.
"Is that so?" Mephisto sneered, stepping back and gesturing. A rune-etched portal ignited in the ground, from which the deafening roars of demons echoed.
"A demon army."
Dark energy erupted from Frostmourne, summoning an endless legion of undead. Necromantic runes ignited across the battlefield as Garus unleashed the power of undeath.
"Ugh," Rocket groaned, watching the undead emerge. "I like Garus, but I hate the creepy things he summons."
Corpses animated, skeletal warriors rose, and a deathly plague spread through the area.
"Everyone, fall back!" Star-Lord shouted. "This planet is crumbling—we're running out of time!"
"Seal this space! Do not let Dormammu complete the transition!"
The Order's sorcerers had experience battling Dormammu, but he was no longer in the Dark Dimension. His full presence had entered the material realm—banishing him would not be simple.
"Ancient One… you know the Stones won't work on him. We have no way to send him back," one of the sorcerers murmured.
"Do what you always have," the Ancient One replied calmly.
Doctor Strange studied her expression. Unlike Mordo, he had taken time to reflect on recent events. Now, he understood the burdens she bore.
The Mirror Dimension expanded, seeking to engulf Dormammu's encroaching darkness and drag it into another plane.
Then, the Ancient One reached into the rippling space, pulling forth a tome. Arcane energies swirled around it—a book none of the Order's sorcerers had ever seen.
"By the ancient body of Hoggoth, the eldritch name of Oshtur, and the will of Agamotto, hear us, Vishanti…"
As she chanted, three towering entities materialized behind Dormammu—immense beings of pure energy, the primeval gods of an alternate dimension.
"Dormammu?! What is he doing here?"
Agamotto's piercing gaze locked onto the Dark Dimension's ruler.
"Ancient One, are you summoning us to fight him?"
"Yes," she confirmed.
Oshtur spoke. "You know we no longer reside in this universe. Banishing him is beyond our reach."
"I will offer my essence," the Ancient One declared. "A sacrifice—to channel your power."
"That will only send him back," Agamotto warned.
"It is enough."
"No—you can't!" Dormammu howled, struggling against his restraints.
A massive blast of violet flames erupted from him, decimating several sorcerers.
He had fought too hard to manifest in this world. The Vishanti, as a trinity, were only slightly weaker than the cosmic entities of creation—he had no chance against them.
The Ancient One ignored him. Her astral form separated from her body, and golden light radiated from her physical form, linking her to the Vishanti's projections.
Dormammu had no choice. He was dragged, powerless, into the dark portal he had opened.
"Stephen," the Ancient One's fading voice echoed. "Take the Book of Vishanti. Within it, you will find powerful spells. Use them wisely—to protect Earth.
"And… watch over Mordo. He is rigid in his ways. Do not let him stray too far."
With those final words, her spirit followed Dormammu into the abyss.
