"It's probably because of the Thread Fruit ability," Feng Yu said with a smile.
Nicknames often serve as a kind of recognition.
They tend to emerge after someone does something significant, often becoming a code name or alias. The origin of the name usually reflects something distinctive about that person.
Just like now.
As Shiba mentioned, the person who spread the word was likely one of the underground members drawn to Kavos City by the Secret Flower conflict. He survived the chaos and later leaked what had happened to the underworld, giving Feng Yu the nickname "Death Cutter."
Death Cutter.
The meaning was self-explanatory—clearly referencing Feng Yu's Thread Fruit ability.
During the battles in Kavos, Feng Yu often used his Thread Fruit to create razor-sharp threads that sliced through enemies like blades.
"That reminds me," Shiba continued, her hand resting on Feng Yu's leg while her other hand clicked away on her laptop, "after that battle, Kavos City fell into total chaos. Loads of underworld figures poured in, and all the major mafia gangs were wiped out in turf wars."
Feng Yu, Shiba, and Mia had clearly defined roles.
Feng Yu handled core combat.
Mia was in charge of logistics.
Shiba managed intelligence gathering.
Whenever they had downtime, Shiba scoured the Hunter forums and the underworld's dark web to collect valuable info.
"Isn't that how the underworld always works?" Feng Yu replied casually, "Either you beat me, or I beat you. Especially in a place like Kavos City."
As he spoke, he was gradually distracted by what Shiba was wearing—something light, cool, and far too tempting. Despite his earlier fatigue, Feng Yu's hands began to roam without thinking.
"Hey, stop that!" Shiba yelped, twisting to glare at him.
But her glare didn't have much bite.
Soon, the two were playfully wrestling, ending up tangled together on the nearby sofa.
Feng Yu had chosen their deluxe suite specifically for its built-in gym.
No one knew how much time passed.
From the gym emerged Mia, her body drenched in sweat after an intense workout session. She was still wearing her weighted gravity rings.
But the moment she glanced toward the living area, her cheeks flushed red.
"Ugh… Dilumon, don't look!"
Mia quickly bent down to shield the small cat-like creature's eyes.
Dilumon blinked in confusion, tilting its head under Mia's hands. It clearly had no idea what was going on.
Still, out of respect for Mia, it let her scoop it up and carry it back into the gym, where she shut the door behind them.
Several days passed quietly following the destruction of the Meteor Pursuit Team.
During this time, Feng Yu, Shiba, Mia, and Dilumon stayed in rest mode.
There was no further retaliation against Meteor Street, and they didn't go hunting any new criminals either.
This wasn't laziness. It was intentional.
After being on edge for so long, they needed to reset.
Humans aren't machines. They need proper rest to recover mentally and physically.
Ever since the Meteor Pursuit Team had started chasing them, Feng Yu and his team had been living under constant pressure—even while hiding in the sky.
Now that their pursuers were gone, it was time to take a break and digest everything that had happened.
High-intensity combat is great for growth. It reveals weaknesses, hones instincts, and exposes new ways to use Nen or abilities.
Shiba and Mia, in particular, had learned a lot from their first real clash with top-tier Nen users.
They realized how much work they still had to do.
Their Nen control needed refining. Their Devil Fruit abilities were strong, but the physical strain they caused had become a limitation.
Shiba's Deadly Cannon, for example, was powerful—but after using it, her body became exhausted. It was a last-resort move, not something she could throw around casually.
Mia, on the other hand, had to manage the physical toll of repeatedly opening her Dimensional Door portals. Her fighting style was stealthy and elusive, but it drained her stamina rapidly.
So during their downtime, both women took turns training with gravity rings to build their endurance.
As for Dilumon, the path to growth was a little different.
Its primary method of leveling up was evolution.
The system provided two paths: regular training and combat experience.
The first was simple: work out daily.
The second was like a video game—defeat or kill opponents to gain "evolution experience."
During the battle against No. 4 and No. 10, Dilumon had earned a decent amount of experience even though Shiba and Mia had landed the final blows.
Outside of combat, Dilumon never slacked. It trained hard every day using standard workouts.
Especially when it came to the Yin Seal.
With Feng Yu's guidance, mastering that technique had become a top priority for Dilumon.
