Battle cries and shouts of commands filled the air, followed by smacks of hammers, cries of pain from the enemies, and the scent of blood.
Although all the insects around were evolved and sometimes even had dangerous abilities, they were still individual creatures that posed no threat whatsoever to an organized army like ours!
I watched this slaughter from the sky above the marching army, while my bodyguards dutifully kept watch so that nothing could ambush me from above.
Only a few creatures the crusaders met posed any resistance at all—like ants who fought instead of running. If there was an army of them, they could've tried to die less pathetically, but even large ants were smashed into mincemeat by a dozen bees attacking at once.
