As Luca tried to wriggle away, the prince calmly pulled him back in, his arms looping around his waist with ease. He kept his voice low, soft with just a hint of teasing.
"Before you escape, would you like to use a healing pill?"
Luca blinked, frozen in place.
Xavier continued, his thumb brushing faint circles along Luca's hip. "I used a bit of ointment on you earlier, but I didn't want to make decisions without asking. Your pills are stronger, and they would likely help with any aches, but it's your body. And honestly…I thought it might be better to check first if anything else felt wrong when you woke up, so we'd know for next time."
Luca blinked again. Blushing harder as he heard the words "next time."
"Oh."
"And," Xavier added, more serious now, "I also didn't want to just hand you a pill and pretend this wasn't a lot for your body. You should know what could happen. That's only fair."
