After the light spar, everyone returned inside. Jesse trailed behind, her eyes wide and her mouth agape, still reeling from the display of elemental might she had just witnessed.
"Wow! That was so intense and awesome!" Jesse exclaimed, practically vibrating with excitement as she flopped onto one of the plush sofas.
Clara chuckled as she tucked a lock of golden hair behind her ear. "To be honest, I was worried for nothing. That was exhilarating."
As the others found their seats, Jesse turned toward Grey with sparkling eyes, her voice soft but hopeful. "Brother Grey… when will I be able to use magic too?"
Grey turned his head, his vibrant crimson hair swaying gently with the motion. His eyes held a softness that only she brought out in him.
"Soon, cutie. Just wait a few more years…" he replied, a warm smile playing on his lips. Then he muttered to himself, "I hope."
