Angelica walked into the kitchen. She poured herself a glass of a water, the maid offered to help her to which she replied with a no.
She drank the water she poured for herself and handed the glass to the maid who seemed really eager to collect it from her.
Angelica narrowed her eyes, she did not know why, but lately, over the past few days all the servants had been excessively nice to her. Not to say that they were not nice to her naturally, but they had been nicer than before.
They offered to wash all her dishes without her asking, they washed her clothes without her asking, they offered to accompany her everywhere, and most annoyingly of all, they did not seem to leave her alone for a second.
Angelica did not hate it, but she did not love it either. It was starting to get irritating. She concluded that her mother was probably the one that put them to the task.
Angelica walked into her room, a few moments later her mother walked in after her.
