Slowly, reality seemed to fade around Isabella. Her vision blurred, her breathing quickened, her body felt heavy. She blinked and saw Klaus sitting across from her, a strange smile on his lips.
"What... what did you do to me?" she stammered, unsteadily.
"Shh, sweetheart," Klaus said, his voice soft but tinged with a dull darkness. "Nothing bad. Just a little sedative. You were far too agitated for my liking..."
Isabella frowned, fighting the settling drowsiness.
"Klaus... what are you planning to do?"
He stood up, slowly walked around the couch, and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into an icy embrace.
"Give us the most memorable night of our lives," he whispered in her ear.
Isabella's eyes widened. She understood. She wanted to push him away, but her body was no longer responding.
Klaus burst out laughing at her distraught expression.
"Oh, Isabella... don't look at me like that. I love you. Everything I do is for us. And you know what? Yes, I'm the one who destroyed you and Ray."
"What..." she breathed, frozen.
Klaus sat down next to her, his expression darker now.
"You want to know how? Fine. Listen carefully, my love..."
