Chapter 56 - Chapter 56 - Return from Hogwarts

Upon returning from Hogwarts, Felix greeted William who came to pick him up with a smile. It was something that the man didn't return. The man held a stiff look while his legs seemed to tremble a bit as they walked back to their car.

"Felix, are you sure about this?" William asked.

Instead of getting a warm welcome back, Felix instead faced a question he had been asked quite a bit. Why does everyone seem to ask this question to him when he wants to do something. If he didn't want or need to do it, then why was he doing it?

"It's not like we can run away all summer." Felix shrugged. "Actually, it is probably best if we pick the battlefield since we can prepare ahead of time."

"Battlefield? God, why does this happen to you?" William almost whimpered.

"I don't really know." Felix replied truthfully. "Anyways, it's what it is. Other teens deal with puppy love and I deal with an insane war lord. Such is life."

William really wanted to shake Felix now while shouting 'It's not fair' or along those lines. Sadly, over the past three years, he has gotten slightly accustomed to it. While there weren't any big attempts during the past summer. William still recalls the attack during Christmas a few years ago.

"So when is this attack supposed to happen?"

"At night." Felix replied. "While many under the dark lord don't really care if non magicals see them. It would be very bad if the rest of the magical world comes due to them breaking the Statue of Secrecy so openly."

"Then what is your plan? To wing it?" William asked.

"Of course not." Felix rolled his eyes.

Opening the bag he was carrying, he showed many bottles of various colors inside. William is ninety percent sure he saw lightning inside one of them and fire in another. Curiosity soon gripped him and he really wanted to ask.

"What are those?" William couldn't hold back and asked.

"Battle potions. When they come, we can just set traps or just throw them. I enchanted the bottle so they can't use magic to fling them back at us easily." Felix explained.

'Note to self, don't touch that bag.' William thought to himself.

Upon returning home, Felix began to move about the area and following his instinct began placing a few bottles here and there. It felt these were the best spots to place the bottles for the battle that will soon come.

Once he finished placing them all, Felix returned inside and found William nervously holding a gun. Gently placing the gun away from him as he is afraid William of shooting himself or the wall in his nervousness. Felix sat down as it is time to wait for the arrival of their uninvited guest.

"Isn't there someone to call to help?" William asked.

"What makes you think I didn't?" Felix said with frustration.

He did indeed call for help and even asked Dumbledore. In response due to receiving intel of a large raid at the Ministry of Magic. Dumbledore allocated most of the Order of the Phoenix and those that could help to that side. While he said he would send Mundungus, a drunk thief and a few fresh members of the order to support him.

After a couple simple divinations Felix knew they weren't going to help. They won't arrive until after the battle as they are currently off doing who knows what.

"What about the Ministry?" William asked.

"On lock down. They got a piece of information that they are being attacked tonight. So the Ministry is calling upon nearly all its forces to prepare for it." Felix replied.

"Did they verify the information?"

"Do tortured bodies and severed heads that appeared there with a message stating it count?"

William became a bit speechless at hearing this. It really didn't in his mind, that was more to scare them as they diverted their attention elsewhere.

"Wizards may be able to use magic and know a bunch of strange things. However, it doesn't mean most are bright light bulbs. Most wizards are more like sheep, herd together and run at the first sign of trouble." Felix explained. "While there are a few who think the same as you, they are the small minority and thus ignored."

"So you are on your own again?" William asked.

"I got you don't I?" Felix smiled.

'If you got me, what about me? I want someone to rely on.' William thought.

"Oh, I also made your mirror." Felix moved and pulled out the Mirror.

"Thanks, I want to try it out." William smiled.

Upon using it, from seeing his wife, to the present and then seeing their house burning. William wondered if it was such a good idea to use it right now.
