And then, 5 days had passed, and Ormoc and Paulina are now ready for their mission and calling, going to the northeastern border of Pantano. Also, Josiah II had already sent a letter to Basilio about these unnamed, undisclosed summoned heroes. Reading it, Basilio was stunned and wondered who these summoned heroes were. Furthermore, it said that they requested for help in their counterattack against Vatrene, but that Basilio and Ruslav were free to decline, and that Pantano would just do it themselves.
So, after a few moments of consideration and short counseling with his subordinates, Basilio accepted it, and Artem and a few others were excited to help with Pantano's defenses against Vatrene. Meanwhile, Paulina, Ormoc, Cas, and a few newly trained soldiers and knights, as well as 2, 20-man battalions of Pantano ventured to Pantano's northeastern border by helicopter. Ormoc and Paulina were astonished that this world does use modern military technology like helicopters and guns, and Cas explained that Otherworlders introduced these things over 4oo years ago. After some time, while walking to the battlefield on foot, Ormoc and Paulina saw some Blue and Red Slimes playing and hopping around. Remembering that these are creatures common in anime and manga, Ormoc and Paulina stopped by and played around with them while commenting how cute they are. Cas and a few others were shocked that they stopped aside.
"Hey! Your mission is more important than that!" Cas shouted at them.
"Come on, is that really important?" Ormoc asked back.
"How about 10 minutes for us to play with them?" Paulina added.
"Fine…" Cas reluctantly responded with a sigh, "…10 minutes then."
With that, Ormoc and Paulina continued playing with these loitering and playing Slimes to have some and fun and uplifting their moods.
Back in Nuevo Tacloban, Basilio, Chivo, and Artem, as well as 4, 20-man battalions of armed Vamzoms went to the northeastern part of Ruslav, which had a low valley area and was low in population density, by helicopter. Vatrene had shared a border with Ruslav in that area and was close with Pantano's northeastern region. After landing the helicopters somewhere nearby and secluded, all of them went down the valley as one Vamzom carries a pole with Ruslav's current banner on it. Basilio, meanwhile, was checking his phone for updates from Cas since he had a phone number from him.
Meanwhile, Cas and his group continued their trek to the battlefield as Cas texted back, "We're now close. Did you turn on your location?" Receiving it, Basilio reads it fast and turns on his phone's location before texting back, "Yes, we're right there."
Cas received it and checked in his phone's map, seeing that Basilio's location with his group was just less than 90 meters southeast from their location.
So, with that, Cas and his group continued towards that location. A bit later, upon being closed to where Basilio and his group will be crossing paths with, Cas said to Ormoc and Paulina, "You two may take off your helmets now." Hearing that, Ormoc and Paulina didn't question it and did so, feeling so much refreshing because it was quite hot today.
"Finally…"
"So hot today…"
And then, while scouring their surroundings, Basilio looks for Cas and his group using a pair of modern binoculars, looking for Pantano's banner as a sign. And, Basilio did so but was surprised to see someone familiar. Because Ormoc and Paulina didn't have any changes on their hairs, Basilio could recognize that, indeed, it as them and was shocked. "No way…are these two…?"
"What's wrong, sir?" Juhani asked.
But Basilio was too busy to answer.
And now, seeing Basilio's reaction from afar, Cas knew that his plan of surprise reunion was getting into place and so cleared his throat and shouted to get Basilio's attention. "Hey, Basilio! We're here!" Hearing their late brother's name, Ormoc and Paulina looked at Cas.
"Wait, Basilio?"
"What do you mean…?"
Seeing the faces of his beloved older siblings, Basilio was shocked and took off his binoculars. "These two are really Ate Paulina and Kuya Ormoc!"
While most in his group were confused by what he was saying, Basilio handed his binoculars to Juhani. "Here, I'll be back."
Basilio then ran towards Cas' group while shouting, "Ate! Kuya!"
Seeing what was happening now, Basilio's group were surprised and shocked.
"Hey, sir! Wait up!"
"Basilio-kun!"
"What is going on here?"
And then, hearing Basilio's voice, Ormoc and Paulina were shocked and looked at Basilio, who then stopped in front of them while panting hard. "Wait, ikaw ba yan, Basilio?" Ormoc asked.
"No way…" Paulina gasped in shock.
Basilio then finally looked at them eye to eye. "Ate Paulina, Kuya Ormoc, is that you?"
Cas watches this with confidence on his eyes.
Others in his group were confused by what was happening.
