The moment Celina saw the message from the system, she didn't let her face change. She kept her expression calm, even though her heart thumped a little faster. She stared at the glowing red heart in her hand and casually asked,
"What is this thing?"
Lyra looked at her, then at the heart, and looked away. "Don't ask about it. You really shouldn't. Knowing too much might get you in trouble. I don't want to get you involved in something like that, Celina,"
Celina nodded like a good girl and stored the item in her system inventory without a word. Lyra's eyes widened when the heart vanished from her hand.
"Where did it go?" she asked.
"I already kept it safe," Celina replied simply.
Lyra blinked but said nothing.
"Thank you, Celina," she replied.
Both of them spent more time together, with Lyra excitedly recommending books she thought Celina might like. Celina never expected to see a demon queen who read dark romance books.
