Lowering his hand, Andrei exhaled. "You don't even know if there's a way to go back, Miss Adeline…"
But just as the words left his mouth, Adeline's expression shifted completely. The nervousness that had painted her face melted away in an instant, and a slow, confident smile crept across her lips.
"I know how blunt you can be. If there wasn't a way, you would've told me the moment I said I wanted to go see Enzo. But you didn't. Which means…" She stepped closer, arms crossing over her chest, and her gentle smile curving into a knowing smirk. "There is a way, isn't there, Andrei?"
Andrei narrowed his eyes slightly, watching her carefully as she came to stand directly in front of him. He stayed quiet, contemplating whether to just brush her off or tell her the truth, but after a few moments, he sighed. "Fine. You're right… There is a way," he admitted at last.
