Andreas sat in the questioning room with his head bowed and shoulders sagged in defeat. It wasn't about being in police custody, the man looked drained and exhausted. Dark circles around his eyes made him look older and more wrinkles appeared on his forehead.
"You have a visitor," a police officer opened the door and let Jaime inside. "This isn't allowed so you have just thirty minutes," he said to both father and son before leaving the room.
Jaime made sure he closed the door and that they were alone before going to stand beside his father.
"Dad,"
Andreas didn't raise his face, he squeezed his hand tightly, "How's your mother, I already sent money to the hospital, they will come take her. They said if she gets treated fast, she will be fine."
"Dad," Jaime muttered, "Why did you do it? Ally and I had plans to get everything under control. Why did you- fuck." Jaime ruffled his hair and turned around.
