Back inside the courtroom where everyone was quietly trooping put. Delphine tagged beside Alvaro.
"Dad, you could have done something to help him! You know you could," Delphine pestered Alvaro as they left the courtroom. "You need to get Andreas out from here."
Alvaro turned but didn't stop walking. "Since when did you become interested in him?" he asked. "Or is there something I'm missing?"
Delphine stuttered. It was true that she didn't care, but also because she didn't want to lose against Mila. At the moment, it felt like the entire Montclair was up against one young girl, and Delphine hated to see her win.
"Seeing that you're quiet means it's nothing. Now remain calm and let's leave; the press will be waiting outside." Alvaro coughed, rubbing his temples where a headache was rising.
Delphine grunted. "Dad, it's not about the press. What about Andreas and his wife... their children?"
