"So it's you who that undead was talking about..."
Staring at a familiar face now twisted in ugly rage, I drew my blood stained blade.
---
Looking at the minimap and comparing it to my surroundings I let out a scoff of disbelief.
'How in the hell did I get here?'
Following the path opened up from the pitfall, as I continued walking, eventually I neared Newcastle Island.
And then everything flipped on its head
Literally.
Viewing the world from what was my view was the ceiling which in all actuality was the ground, I now found out how the world would seem like when viewed constantly upside down.
I didn't like it in the slightest.
Trying to keep my breakfast in my stomach, the dizziness which seemed to assault me all went away in an instant as the world suddenly righted itself once again.
Stumbling over my own legs, I hurriedly righted myself and swiftly assessed my surroundings.
Red eyed Lion carvings placed atop pillars, flanked by candles burning with a bright blue flame as blood red decorations were everywhere my eyes landed.
"Well well well." Blinking a few times at the familiar place, I glanced at the minimap and was both surprised and unsurprised at where I was located.
"Well well well indeed."
That was until a very familiar voice entered my ears.
Snapping my head to the side, there floated a very unpleasant figure that all but confirmed my unsurprise.
With white haired fashioned into a bob cut, red eyes, unnaturally pale skin and a well built figure confined within a nobleman's clothes stared at me with an interested look in their eyes.
"What are you doing coming from my Right Hand man's chambers?"
Floating towards me, my vision briefly twisted as the man seemingly disappeared from their position to look straight into my eyes.
And having learned my lesson from last time, my eyes instantly went closed as I reached out to my inventory screen, noting that I could see everything that was within the interface even with my closed eyes, most probably God's blessing at work.
Touching at the Balanced blade within, repaired with iron scavenged from all over the island, Dracula's heavy baritone voice echoed within my ears.
"How rude, aren't you going to look me in the eye?"
Hearing his voice which seemed to echo right into my ear, I smirked and replied as I mentally translocated where Dracula's body was most likely to be from where his voice was coming from.
"It's not that I'm scared of your red eyes, its that I'm scared of looking at your ugly mug any longer than I have to."
"How uncouth, I'll have you know that my face would have your moth-"
"Found you." Grasping at space, a green blade instantly formed in my hands as I struck to my right, feeling the blade cut through the air and strike something solid.
Something extremely solid.
'Well that isn't much of a surprise.'
Frowning imperceptibly as my blade bounced backwards from the counterforce, a thought rang out like a bell in my mind.
If mana could be used to accelerate my movements and coat my blade in flames, why couldn't I replace the flames with pure mana
Running mana through the blade like a magical enhancer, instantly the resistance I felt from the blade disappeared as I spun around and snapped my eyes open.
The feedback I received in my limbs made by the newfound cutting force produced by the pure mana was extremely pleasing.
I was however instantly disappointed by what I was seeing.
Frowning, I stared at the unharmed Count Dracula standing right in front of me whilst the wall behind said count had an ugly gash carving a chunk of stone out of it.
This was probably the resistance I felt.
"How rude" Turning to look at his face, I instantly recalled the problem and closed my eyes.
But in the brief timespan when I was able to grasp a glimpse of the White Vampire's ugly countenance, I was able to see that they were definitely pissed off.
If a scrunched up face on his otherwise emotionless face definitely spoke volumes of his anger.
But continuing off from where they left off, I noted that they were now speaking directly into my left ear.
"Before you oh so readily interrupted me with unprovoked destruction of my Master's Keep, I was going to say that my face is one that even Mot-."
"Yeah yeah, and I'm the epitome of beauty." I interrupted the Vampires spiel and paused for a moment before continuing. "And by the way, the reason why I'm coming from that skeleton's place is because I killed him, plain and simple."
"...You Killed Death?"
Hearing the quiet and slightly pissed off voice now echoing in my right ear, I felt something off.
Usually, through past experience, I was able to tell whenever someone was nearby and could pinpoint where exactly they were in correspondence to me with a vague accuracy.
But strangely enough, I was unable to feel a physical presence behind me like he should if he was speaking directly into my left ear
'Kay... There's definitely something off about this.'
Opening my eyes, I turned to look at Count Dracula now floating directly in front of me with a scrunched up face.
"You aren't exactly doing yourself any favors on the attraction scale Count Mosquito."
His already scrunched up face became even uglier as he showcased a pair of glimmering white fangs that seemed intent on biting my face off,, and was I imagining it or did his skin shift hues for a second?
"I. Am. Not. A. Mosquito, far from it you foul blooded crea-"
I interrupted mister angry again. "Yeah, it was rather rude of me to compare mosquito's to you, you're definitely a leech."
'His skin definitely shifted hues that time.' Seeing the Count's pale white skin change to an almost sickly green, the very much angered count glared daggers at my eyes as his own pair of Crimson, Scarlet, Red Eyebal-
'And I forgot about that.'
Closing my eyes at the realization I was feeling a tingle at the back of my head, once I broke contact with his Crimson Blooded eyes, the tingle at the back of my head disappeared.
But this all but confirmed my theory however.
"You actually can't do anything to me can you?"
Despite glaring at me with the intent to kill, something that could definitely happen if I so much as meet his Ruby gaze for a second, nothing was happening physically.
"..."
Taking the Count's silence as an answer, a smile found its way to my face as I goaded the Count that had been the cause of my first official death on this island.
(If we ignore the world looping back on itself by sphaggetifying everything as a death that is.)
'God this is cathartic'
"The very moment that you step out of my subordinates quarters is the moment that you shall rue your last, count your days you arrogant welp."
Voice now echoing from all sides, I laughed at the voice.
"Yeah? How? He died easily under my hand, and if he's your right hand man, then the only days that I need to count are yours, I'm already on the last day, what about you."
Despite not even seeing his face, I could tell that count Dracula the Mosquito and Leech sovereign was hated my guts to no end.
I wouldn't put it against him to give me an excruciating death if he got the chance.
Not that I was going to let him of course.
Reopening my eyes and seeing that he was gone, I took a few glances around me and smiled.
Then I noticed the gift that he left behind for little ol' me.
He really was pissed if a couple dozen monsters and undead were gathered together facing me with extremely malevolent intent.
Especially if I didn't recognize a few of them amongst the very common undead present all over the island.
*GROAAAARRR
But I guess I would now find out what little gimmick these new monsters have
I prepared my balanced blade now humming with mana ready to slice apart flesh and bone as the numerous undead rushed at me.
But for the time being, I would be testing out other applications of mana.
Mana coated my blade and limbs.
'Thanks for giving me several test subjects Drac.'
Ignoring the fact that the Super Leech definitely didn't intend for this horde of undead to benefit me, I rushed to meet the horde of undead lobbing several projectiles at me.
