Among the races listed by his foster mother, the most developed was the Shahua Fishman. They not only had their own language but also deities they worshipped. They were capable of building cities under the sea, with a well-defined social hierarchy.
To be fair, the Shahua Fishman belonged to one of the civilized ocean races, even though they often plundered merchant ships and looted coastal towns, truly making them ocean demons.
But their actions were systematic and organized, with command. They were intelligent beings that knew how to think, an undeniable fact.
Regrettably, the Bronze Dragon had a particular liking for the taste of Shahua Fishmen. To distinguish themselves from the Colorful Dragon Clan, the Metallic Dragon Race declared that Metal Dragons do not consume intelligent beings.
