"Where's Layla?" Michael asked, desperate to hold her in his arms. Dia pointed upstairs, and he followed suit. His hands were filled with shopping bags, and one could tell from the logos those were a costly buy.
"Easy there, Romeo," Nana snarled at him when he was about to collide with her on the stairs. Michael flashed a grin and continued on his way; Nana smiled and shook her head.
"Layla!" The eagerness with which he took her name made Layla's stomach flutter; she turned around to meet his blue orbs. The intensity with which he was looking made her blush.
