As my voice resonates across the atrium, a sigil appears beneath my feet. In the shade of sugilites it shines. It encircles me and widens, until it wholly fills the ground within the dais.
Along with the start of my oath, the ritual has started. There, Lucifer's lips bend into a subtle smile. Perhaps it is the reflection of the sigil's light, or perhaps not, Lucifer's eyes glow brightly in the same hue.
As he is ready to take the ritual forward, Lucifer goes again, "'Empower the demon of pride, Lucifer…'"
And so, I do too, "Empower the demon of pride, Lucifer…"
And lastly, to mark the end of the contract between Esmund and I…
"'To transfer my contract to his possession.'"
After Lucifer's voice, I follow, "To transfer my contract to his possessio- Umgh!"
