My lips hadn't parted since the veil lifted. Since Ian pulled me into his arms and told the world told them that I was his Luna.
I still couldn't believe it.
Even now, as my gaze locked onto him through the swirling chaos, my body refused to move. My bones didn't belong to me. My breath felt borrowed.
I wasn't just shocked but was hollow.
My feet found the path only because Ian led me there. His hand around my wrist was firm, possessive… anchoring.
I didn't resist as he guided me through the crowd, past the stunned elders, past Nyx's broken sobs, and Xander's seething rage. The car was already waiting near the edge of the field.
He opened the door for me.
But just before I stepped in, something tugged at my thoughts about the girl.
The one who had served me doesn't deserve to live here she should leave also with me. I turned, catching Ian's arm.
"I want her," I said, voice barely audible. "The girl from the hall. She helped me… I want her to come with us."
