Faith's pov
As I stepped into the house, a woman with dark hair and warm, brown eyes greeted me.
"You must be Felix's wife," she said, her voice gentle. I forced a smile, nodding in agreement.
The woman's eyes sparkled with kindness, but a faint thread of anxiety wove through my thoughts.
"Come on inside, we're about to have dinner as Felix's family," she said, beckoning me to follow. "I'm his aunt, by the way."
Her smile put me at ease, but my mind was still reeling from Khana's ominous warning.
What did she mean by "it's about to start"?
I glanced around, expecting some monster to jump out, but there was only the warm glow of the dinner table.
As we entered the house, the sound of laughter and chatter enveloped me. Felix stood by the fireplace, chatting with a guy who looked nothing like him, yet shared a similar air of confidence.
