It hadn't made sense the first time she'd snuck in and caught a glimpse of it. Why would something bearing Megan's sigil be sealed away in a place meant for lost knowledge and buried truths?
She stepped closer, hesitating only briefly before her fingers brushed the cover. Warm. Alive.
Like it had been waiting for her all along. "The Moonbound Legacy: Children of Twinned Worlds."
Her stomach clenched.
With another quick glance over her shoulder, she ducked into the shadowed corner between two towering pillars — a place hidden from the scrying wards she hoped wouldn't reach this deep.
She sat low, drawing her cloak tighter as she opened the book with trembling hands. The pages crackled softly. Her eyes scanned until she reached the familiar diagram — the one she'd only dared glimpse few days ago.
She read:
