Things really had gotten out of hands and that was every activities they participated was something to talk home about. Be it the Game Center, Charles treated Jae Won like a glass afraid it will break.
When they went to check things out at the shopping mall, he (Jae Won) wasn't allowed allowed to carry the stuffs they had bought.
Charles treated Jae Won like a complicated pregnancy not allowing him to do stuffs. Even the rides they went after, he was prohibited from joining the scary ones except the not so hard rides even an infant could join.
"Come on, why are you treating me like a baby?" Jae Won asked, his face like he has seen the most disgusting thing on the planet.
"And why is that?" Charles asked as if he hasn't done anything wrong. Jae Won heaved a sighed so loud it could wake a snake up "why am I not allowed to enjoy this ride? It's like you are treating me like a glass which will fall and shatter without care. I'm not fragile you know so let me enjoy this rides or should I say this date".
Jae Won said and without waiting for an answer, he walked towards the rides that even some people were afraid to ride. Let's not blame him, he is like a roller coaster himself which was not a surprise for him to go for such a ride.
Charles just stared at him with his jaw opened wide as the ocean.
While Charles was still processing what he was seeing with Jae Won rides, someone was fuming at a far distance.
Vincent came from the errands he was sent to and the moment he sat down on his desk, he was smiling to text Jae Won which was like a recipe to sent all his worry away.
He took his phone and saw Charles has sent him a message. For past experience, he knew Charles had sent him something he wouldn't like and that Jae Won might be involved and he was proved right.
To verify his suspicion, he open the message and truly it was what he had expected. He sighed as he watch the videos and images of the food and even at the shopping mall then to the rides.
Vincent clenched his fist until it turned white with his anger waiting for any moment to explode.
As he kept staring at the videos and images he heard someone speaking to him in a faint voice which brought his attention back to earth and at the office.
"Why is Jae Won with Charles?" Emelia asked as he turned to look at Vincent bloodshot eyes which she didn't see obviously. She had assumed it was because he was on an errand which was the outcome.
"I think they went on movie date and having fun" he said as he put down the phone with a loud thud. "Hey, watch it, you might destroy it. Talking about date, when are we going to have our date? It's been long" Emelia said as he brought her face closer to Vincent.
If it was any other person, he would have scheduled a date that evening but Vincent just forced a smile "later during the weekends" he said which Emelia was assured.
For the past few days, she felt like she was about to lose something if she watch Jae Won and Vincent closeness. She still can't quite put her finger on the closeness even though she felt sour just looking close at them and about the kiss on the cheeks.
"Okay, that will be nice" she said as she walked back to her desk and started working. Vincent on the other hand, took his phone and sent a message to Charles he couldn't believe he would send such a text.
Charles who was watching Jae Won have fun like he has never had fun in his entire life only to be distracted with a message from Vincent.
To him, he thought Vincent might have send something scary which he was grinning looking for ward to it only to be disappointed. The message says,
Vincent, "have fun" with a smiley emoji that worsened the case.
Charles, "....."
What was he seeing? Has Vincent lose interest or he was just being patient for the time being? Well, time will tell.
Time will indeed tell as Charles led it to it. After an hour of running around and Charles watching him like a hawk or should I say, a henpecked husband.
Jae Won walked up to him and sat next to him panting as if he has run a marathon. "Should we head home so you can rest properly and maybe wash up" he said as he shifted his gaze from farther away from his.
After waiting for a few minutes without any reply, he turned his gaze to Jae Won. Jae Won wasn't sitting idle, he was thinking about what Charles had said.
He knew Vincent might get jealous if he decides to go with Charles. And they will be closing for the day in an hour which was put into consideration.
He made his mind to reject his offer so he turned to Charles to respectfully decline but he was met with a gaze and no way out.
Before he could opened his mouth, Charles said something he couldn't refuse. "You promised", that's the bomb Jae Won couldn't refuse.
So that means, he had to sleep over at Charles's which was going to be a problem for him and Vincent. I mean, Jae Won was having so much fun but he would have had a lot fun if he was Vincent.
And sleeping over at Charles's place, well it's like being invited to a party you never ever thought of going if they had reward you with gold or something valuable.
And aside that, he was going to miss Vincent but what can he do, he promised and had to fulfill his promise. "Okay, I will go" Jae Won said after a whole lot of minutes making Charles's sighed a big relief as though some burden had been lifted.
A few minutes later, they were at Charles's house. Jae Won quickly entered the washroom without asking for spare clothes before he freshened up.
He later realized he didn't have any new clothes to put on and he can't wear the old ones which was stained with sweat so all he had to do was come out with the towel wrapped around his waist.
Charles who was busy scrolling through the television looking for God knows what just heard the bathroom door opened only to turn and watch the god of beauty descend down on him.
With his mouth widely opened which can allow the the biggest ship to pass through finally said something, "Uurm, where is your clothes?".
Jae Won who was been gawked at like a delicious dessert felt uncomfortable as he forced a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "Forgot it. Can I get a new clothes if you don't…" .
Jae Won didn't complete his sentence when Charles was already ransacking through his closet looking for something for him before he lose all control and kiss the hell out of him.
I mean, he wouldn't mind kissing Jae Won. In fact, he would be the most happiest person on earth to get to kiss him but he had to maintain some respect, so he thought. At least he can still have his friendship with Jae Won in the future.
They sat in front of the television as they played a round of Ludo while they listen to some music.
On the other hand, Vincent and Emelia had return home from work and he was so moody the rest of the family pass through a different route if they saw him.
The only person who kept pestering him even though he was moody was Emelia. She kept asking him what was wrong and the only answer she got was 'nothing'. After getting four of five times answer of the same word, she gave up.
"You will come around when you feel better" Emelia said as she walked up to her room while they wait for dinner. Samuel who was watching Vincent like a hawk knew something was definitely wrong and it had to do with Jae Won not being in the house.
He walked up to Vincent looking around as though he was about to steal something in the house. "Brother, if you miss him that much, why don't you go pick him up. It seems he might be sleeping over" Samuel said in a whisper with his mouth close to Vincent's ear.
"He is definitely coming back" Vincent replied not so sure of himself but still said it. Samuel nodded and went back to his cartoon on the television.
A few minutes later, dinner was ready and they came together to have their dinner. They all knew where Jae Won might have gone so they didn't bother to wait for him to have dinner.
"Jae Won is with Charles right?" Mrs Gladys asked knowing the obvious answer. Vincent nodded in agreement as he continued to have his meal.
For some unknown reasons, dinner was as quiet as the cemetery through halfway. Samuel who could no longer bare this spoke, "what is everybody thinking about for this dinner to be so quiet?".
They were still no reply only for a notification sound to break the silence. Samuel gave up and continued to have his meal when Mr Jonathan announced what his message was all about.
"Jae Won said he won't be coming back today and will head straight to school tomorrow" he said and was giving a glare that could send his soul back to his body if he had died.
Vincent, "what!!!!!?". He shouted scaring them. "What so bad about it for you to scare us like that?" Christiana asked still calming down.
